Far be it for me to be a defender of episodic TV shows, but it seems like these days writers have gotten better at avoiding the syndrome you&#039;re referring to. Older shows were rife with that problem: The A-Team, Nightrider, The Incredible Hulk, etc., etc.

That&#039;s not to say it still can&#039;t happen, though. I had a similar concern regarding the new show &quot;Journeyman.&quot;

I mean I want to love this show but I just get the feeling its going to get old rather quickly in that same old Star Trek Voyager &quot;Forehead Alien of the week&quot; type affair. Who knows, I could be wrong, and for our sakes, i hope I am.
