Although Kyle fought with the third Richards sister, Kim Richards, several times on early RHOBH seasons, Kathy and Kim's relationship has always been tight. In fact, during the infamous Amsterdam fight between Kim and Lisa Rinna on RHOBH season 5, Kim rounded on Kyle for not interfering on her behalf. Kim's words came full circle seven seasons later, after Kyle was forced to take sides between Lisa and Kathy during RHOBH season 12's trip to Aspen, Colorado. After several episodes showed Kyle, Lisa, and Erika Girardi poking fun at Kathy's quirky sense of style, Lisa alleged that while the group were at a nightclub, Kathy had an epic meltdown that left Lisa with PTSD. Unfortunately for Lisa and RHOBH fans, however, cameras somehow missed the entire event. Lisa and Kathy have been locked in their own public feud since, and while Kyle eventually appeared to defend Kathy during the RHOBH season 12 finale, recent online comments from Kathy indicate that the two sisters are far from being on the same team.
Kathy Hilton Slams Kyle Richards For Crying At RHOBH Season 12 Reunion
Kyle's heightened emotions and attempts to stir up drama between the housewives have been discussed throughout RHOBH season 12, and although some viewers have sympathized with Kyle's tears, Kathy isn't one of them. In an Instagram comment section that was reshared by Reddit user u/dinkidonut, Kathy blasted Kyle for crying while filming the RHOBH season 12 reunion. "Why is [Kyle] upset and crying? I'm the one who was bullied and percacuted [sic] for ten months!" Kathy ranted. "Just cruel and disgusting." Kathy's comment didn't go unnoticed by Kyle, who passively responded with, "Why? You know why," before posting, "I don't think you want me to explain why." Whether Kyle's response was meant as a threat to their already-distanced relationship or to avoid sharing RHOBH season 12 reunion spoilers, the spat all-but confirms Kathy and Kyle's continued feud.
Kathy Hilton Calls La Toya Jackson & Brenda Richie Her "Sisters"
Besides nurturing many connections as a member of the wealthy Hilton family, Kathy was close friends with Michael Jackson for most of his life. Over the years, Kathy has remained equally close to Michael's sister, La Toya Jackson, and Brenda Harvey-Richie, Lionel Richie's ex-wife. Shortly after the RHOBH season 12 finale aired, Kathy implied that things with Kyle aren't smooth sailing just yet on Instagram. Sharing a clip of herself, La Toya, and Brenda dancing to Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel," Kathy captioned the video with, "Love my sisters! Missing our brother Michael." In addition to not-so-subtlety dissing Kyle, Kathy's dance party is a continuation of the virtual conga line she couldn't get started in Aspen.
Although Kathy and Kyle's relationship seemed to improve during the RHOBH season 11 reunion, it's clear that the sisters are back at square one. Based on the explosive RHOBH season 12 reunion trailer, Kathy and Kyle's dynamic will indeed be ultimately tested when Kathy and Lisa face-off over Lisa's Aspen allegations and behavior towards former housewives like Kim and Lisa Vanderpump. Based on Kathy and Kyle's Instagram activities post-filming, RHOBH season 12 may have caused their complicated relationship to become irrevocably damaged.
