Totally agree with you Josh and we love it in the UK. It is great and this stupid comparison to the book is exactly that, stupid. Based on is not going to mean that the show copies the book faithfully and only the idea is used. Why people cannot just enjoy these things is beyond me. What makes me laugh is this is written very well and I doubt anyone criticising it on here could make a paragraph as interesting. Flash Forward is great, nothing is as good as Lost but it is still great. All the USA audience seem to want is action and no plot.

I love Flash forward and if people stopped trying to criticise it on the basis of it being 'real' they might just enjoy it. It is fiction for goodness sake and is wonderful with great actors. I love it and cannot wait for a second series. People are just so negative about everything and cannot simply sit and watch something play out. I know the UK love it.

I’ll tell you what’s up. It doesn’t play to middle America. The writers left leaning slant is subtle, but still visible. Just write a good story and stop with the America bashing…(The German prison scene). The stupid gay woman story line, and all the sex…(Dominic’s sex pose on the train). America is sick of Hollywood and their lack of morals and the inability to tell a story without slipping in their twisted view on life.

Personally I’m very happy with FF and think it is improving every week.

I’m stunned by some of the comments here from people who think the pacing is too slow. I guess these are the sort of people who, even if they ate for free, would rather eat at McDonalds than a 3 star Mitchelin restaurant because it’s just quicker and easier?… what is up with you people, don’t be so impatient, why do you want to rush things?… savour and enjoy the journey!

I really hope the impatient American masses don’t cause another promising series to be axed so more appreciative non-American viewers like me suffer.

flashforward just dosnt no what to do with its self the story is slow and the story just seems pointless. I do feel abit sorry for flashforward tho being compared to one of the most groundbreaking shows ever of course im talking abut lost and i dont think any show will be a match for that

There is nothing wrong with Fast Forward in the uk, obviously the viewing figures from uk are not counted over there, but it is a big hit over here, and i really hope it contiunues.

if i had to pick one fault with it, i would say it is slow! very little happens in one episode, like 1 key piece of information per episode and that could be the problem, as someone has said above that could come across as boring but nobody can deny the story line and plot is very good, they just need to speed up the search a little and put more action into it.

But in summary so far i am pleased with it, and looking forward to the next episode.

Never got into FF. It seemed so boring to me… the concept was good but all the promos look the same. It doesn’t look exciting… The only new shows worth anyone’s time this season are V and Glee… everything else is just horrible. Must stick with veteran shows…

I was really looking “forward” to Flash Forward went it first aired. But, for some reason I just lost interest in the series. I missed one episode…then I could have cared less to keep watching, I have no reason for it. Maybe they tried to compare it to lost…but you can’t compare a new show to a great show like lost, even if you try to use some familiar faces.

I’m really sick of critics and columnists and people like everyone who has posted before me, saying the show isn’t moving fast enough. First of all, it IS, and second, there has only been SIX episode. Where has patience gone? So many things have been answered already. Every week a new part of Mark’s board is revealed. If you’re upset about what caused the blackout, or Suspect Zero or D. Gibbons, that’s just impatience. Do you really expect the biggest answers to be revealed so soon? It’s hypocritical that LOST fans have stuck around til the end but are already criticizing this show. Yes, I agree that some acting has been stale (Fiennes mostly) and out of place characters (Bryce, Nicole) but if you choose to focus on the little things then you’re just asking for disappointment. This show is well written, has mostly very good acting, it’s handled well by the producers, it looks and sounds beautiful, and it has promise. If you don’t have patience you shouldn’t even be watching TV. The point of a weekly series is getting you to come back for more. Apparently none of you can do that. Stick to movies if you want a short and sweet story wrapped up in about two hours.

I think that real problem with FlashForward is that they haven’t grounded me in rooting for anyone. The mythology isn’t strong enough to pull me in and they don’t spend enough time getting to know any character to care. Essentially I should be hoping for Mark and Penny… er Olivia … to stay happy but I’d rather know what their kid saw. I don’t care that Mark might start drinking again of if his sponsor finds his kid.

It’s a lot like what happened last year with the beginning of Fringe. Maybe they need to pick up the pace like Fringe did and give me some rooting interest or grounding in the characters…

I watch something else during the Flash Forward time slot so I did DVR it. I watched a couple of episodes and it didn’t keep my interest enough to keep watching.

I do watch Smallville on a regular bases and they are having a fantastic season. I really hope they will get a season 10.

Kudos to Smallville…the show is finally delivering…I wish they started the Daily Planet (Clark/Lois) in season 7. But, I love their finally embracing Superman and taking interest in telling the story of Clark as an official superhero. Go season 10 (CW idiocracy aside)

FF hasn’t hooked me. I liked the first, didn’t like the second, like two weeks ago. It’s hit or miss, and you hit the mark w/ the artificially long plots. It’s exactly what I was dreading about the show…..it trying to emulate the worst of Lost (Which is a huge, drawn out, unfullfilling mystery). Going forward, I’m just DVRing the show and watching in mini-marathons. It moves way to slow to keep my attention for 10 minutes, let alone an hour, without some promise something good and engrossing will happen.

I really don’t like the main actor. The FBI guy. He is bad. He makes stupid facial expressions. And looks too intense all the time, even when he is trying to convey emotions that are totally not intense. It is like he has one setting.

That honestly makes me like it less. And I think there is the pacing thing as others have said.

I always DVR it on Thursdays, and forget to watch it until like Sunday. I sort of put off watching. I know I will enjoy when I do, but I don’t look forward to it.

Probably not a good sign. I do want to make it to April though.
