After the enormous commercial success of his summer indie flick, Moonrise Kingdom, one might assume Wes Anderson would take a little time off - but the critically-acclaimed filmmaker is already hard at work on his next feature, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Anderson has been assembling another excellent ensemble for months now. Besides securing his regular players, including Bill Murray and most recently, Jason Schwartzman, he has also acquired the talents of Academy Award nominee Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley) and two-time nominee Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient).

Anderson hasn't revealed much about the story or the characters, but according to Variety, Fiennes will play M. Gustave, a "perfectly composed" hotel concierge who also happens to be a psychic. Johnny Depp was originally reported to have signed on to play the part, but Anderson denied this two months ago.

Angela Lansbury of Murder, She Wrote fame was also on board, but has now dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with her work on a stage production of Driving Miss Daisy in Australia. Reportedly, her part would have been small and that fact also may have contributed to her decision to leave the project.

Other collaborators who have been rumored for parts in the film, include Anderson mainstays such as Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Jeff Goldblum (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), Adrien Brody (The Darjeeling Limited), Edward Norton (Moonrise Kingdom) and Willem Dafoe (Fantastic Mr. Fox).

As far as the plot is concerned, Anderson has described it simply as "a European story," which most of us could easily surmise from the title. However, based on the cast he already has in place and the players that may sign on, The Grand Budapest Hotel could be a good place to check into. He certainly has established a solid track record with critics (read our Moonrise Kingdom review) and with the financial success of Moonrise, is beginning to see his unique and quirky voice connect with audiences.

Of course, we will fill you in on  plot and story details as they come in, as well as future casting news regarding The Grand Budapest Hotel.
