Zipper Stevens says:

Bruce Campbell as Morbius!!! :D Who would have seen that coming?

Ken J says:

He should play a character with one hand missing… I’m sure that would get the audience going…

greenknight333 says:

Aren’t he and Raimi best friends from childhood?..makes sense that Raimi wants him in it..he’s like a good luck charm for Raimi directed films..

Ross Miller says:

@greenknight,

I guess that charm didn’t work for Spidey 3:-)

greenknight333 says:

@ Ross no way huh? I guess 891 million in Worldwide box office and another 115 million from DVD sales in North AMerica alone was bad luck… ;)

Freddy Will Kill says:

Well that means I need to see it because of Bruce.

He should be Ash and kill Morbius and make spiderman look like a moron.(Not that it takes much to do that)

Ken J says:

Oh stop shortening his name to make it sound more manly, his name is Ashley, lol. :-D

Brodie Bruce says:

Bruce as SCorpion .
Lol
J/k !

Matt K says:

i like the idea of bringing him back, i mean he was hilarious in all three films, just dont turn him into mysterio

Ross Miller says:

@greenknight,

Haha, I was referring to the quality of the movie, as I thought you were, not the money it made. Touche, though my friend, touche:-)

Jeff says:

Campbell is fantastic. Army of Darkness was so campy and awesome. His bit on Burn Notice isn’t that bad either. I say more Campbell.

Gary says:

Bruces Cameo was one of the few things that entertained me in Spider Man 3 .
I hope he comes back for 4.

Stephen says:

He’s pretty funny in the movies, I didn’t know much of his work though until I saw a few episodes of Burn Notice and he’s hilarious.

Phil says:

How about Bruce as KRAVEN, eh? Eh?

Think about it: safari hunter comes in from Africa, looking for a challenge. He reads about Spider-Man in the newspapers, puts on a kooky suit, and attacks Spidey after he rescues somebody!

And POW! End of Kraven’s career. :p

Matt K says:

phil,

sure why not? i mean they miscast venom in the last film, why not miscast kraven in this one?

Ash Ali says:

@ Matt,

If Campbell can get his ass into shape, and pull of a good Russian accent, he’d be perfect for Kraven. Miscast? No way.

WIll says:

i can’t see Campbell as any villain without turning spidey four into a comedy. I loved his little bell he rings in spidey 3 for his pen and pad to be brought to him. He he he. Classic.

37 radius says:

ok, who`s i going to be? he said he wants Kraven, then Morbius, then Lizard, and i heard him once say it might be Vulture, now Mysterio? are they ever going to make a real choice for a villain? it really didn`t show Bruce CampBell being one of the important characters in the first 3 movies so i`d rather not have someone that didn`t seem to be a setup for future films. i would pair lizard with Scorpion.

Andy S says:

I have no problem with Campbell in the movies as cameos, but having him be a villain would turn the movie campy. Let him stick the type of parts he’s played so far.

Phil says:

Matt K, I was joking, if that wasn’t readily apparent ;D

Phil says:

Ash Ali, actually I was being sarcastic. Although it would make for a funny cameo of a sort, I’d hope they pay more respect to the Kraven character somehow.

Anyway, I don’t think they will cast Bruce Campbell as a villain. He’s there to make us chuckle as a relief from the emo scenes Tobey Maguire usually has to do in these movies… I WOULD like to see him have a bigger role, though.

Also: get away from these aforementioned emo scenes, please! Let’s just have Spider-Man mostly having some fun as a superhero again. No need to make the movie all gloomy.

steven the git says:

Funny, hearing Bruce on the radio some weeks back, he was saying the exact same thing. He has small roles, but each time he was crucial.
So sure he’d be keen to be in it too.

He’s been in the rest, so keep him in I say.

caro says:

he was a good cameo! so it’s a very good idea!

prtfvr says:

Don’t forget the other “regular” casting of Sam Rami’s 1973 Oldmobile. It’s Evil Dead too. Check it out. Donnie Darkio. Pete’s uncle died in the car. It’s in ALL of his movies. It’s like Where’s Waldo only with a car.

And don’t forget Ted Raimi as J Johna Jameson’s brow-beaten assistant.

On of the most dead on casting in that movie is J.K. Simmons. Best J. Johna Jameson EVER!!

Darren says:

Bruce is the man but not for major roles like any villans. Let him keep to cool cameos, ok? He’s one of my favourites.

Longshanks says:

It would be really good to have him back.It would be even better to have a good story back.

Darren says:

Hey, wasn’t he Jack of all Trades too?

propnut says:

Sounds like the script is almost done for Spiderman 4, so I doubt he’s a main character. However it would be a ggod spot to introduce him as Quentin Beck in a cameo, and return as Mysterio in a later film.
At least a cameo as Mysterio being caught in the beginning of the film.

Doug says:

He “hopes” Campbell will take whatever role is in Spider-Man 4? Does Bruce have something better to do? Doesn’t seem like he’s out there much. “Burn Notice” was cancelled, wasn’t it?

INK says:

No, Burn Notice was not cancelled.
It was just renewed fro at least 13 more eps.
And yes, I love that show.
