Nehhh… the Shrek movies died for me in 2004 with second part. So Puss in Boots? Ha, yeah seems like a joke. I hate when they start making unneccesary installments for a franchise or they just create one (a franchise) out of a bad movie (**cough** Madagascar **cough**)

I loved all 3 Shrek films, although the 3rd was by far the weakest of the trilogy. I thought the first two were absolutely phenomenal films, but a whole Puss in Boots movie? Ehh, I don’t think so. He was a GREAT ancillary character (the whole cutesy eyes thing before going crazy was great), but I am not sure that he has enough presence to make a whole film.

Good chocolate analogy – totally true As I say the character was funny for the first few times you see/hear him, but it would get sickening for a whole movie, I think.

The way Banderas puts it, it sounds like some big emotional Oscar baiting epic film. Still I enjoyed Puss in Boots, but a whole film of him, I mean I like chocolate, but after so much I just vomit.

At least they are attempting to steer away from the pop culture humor this time around, but of course that may through people off at this point. In fact they may have dug themselves a hole with Shrek 1-3.
