Well I don’t watch Heroes so I really can’t say anything on that matter, but as far as X-Men, which I do know a little about, this looks like a pretty good case of “been there done that.” Also I HATE, I mean absolutly HATE Dakota Fanning, so I really have a very small amount interest in this movie.

This looks like it has some potential..Haven’t seen Heroes so I can’t comment on the similarities..

On a completely unrelated note The Dark Knight sold 7.5 million units this past week and generated another 159 million in revenue!! Holey Moley that is just insane as it’s opening week sales on DVD matched it’s opening weekend box office..Geez that movie was a license for Warner Brothers to print money!! Great for the genre and everyone involved with that film..

when I had made my first comment, i had not watched the trailer, and was just poking fun at the poster and the actors listed, to me the poster screams Peter Petrelli, but thats just me.
Having just watched the trailer, it look pretty cool, however it still looks like a blatent knock off of heroes.

I did enjoy Fantastic Four for what it was, an action/adventure flick and looked past the cheasy story and not sticking to the orginal source. I felt Chris did a good job sticcking to the charactor from the comics, Cocky, arrogant and you just want to knock him on his ass. Only Tom Cruise could have done better, hence the Tom Cruise and Chris Evans Comparision.

I havent watched the traier yet, maybe i should, that was just poking fun at the poster.
I though Chris Evans Portryal of Johnny Storm was pretty accurate, Cocky, arrogant and you really do want knock the guy on his ass. Only tom Cruise could have played it better, Hence the Tom Cruise comparrision.

Not sure if you could have been any more wrong with that character comparison but that’s only because I paid attention to the trailer. But your assessment of Chris Evans was pretty good.

I’m afraid I’ll have to disagree with you on Chris Evans. Apart from his pretty good performance in Sunshine I think he’s terrible. I just wanted to reach into the screen and punch the hell out of him during the Fantastic Four movies (although he was in a sea of shit in those two:P). I haven’t heard too much praise for him, oh well to each their own.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the trailer: Heroes being made into a threatrical movie. Of course, I still think that Heroes is a ripoff of X-Men, but that’s just me. The poster? Looks interesting. I will most likely check it out unless Vic’s review (or whomever reviews it here) says it’s crap.

I didnt know that heroes was being made into a movie?? Chris Evans must be portraying Peter and Dakota Fanning as Claire, with Djimon Hounsou as the Haitian and Camilla Belle es Elle.
Though I do enjoy Chris Evans, even though his film roles tend to be questionable (i blame his agent), he has the potential to be a talented Tom Cruise-esque actor. i sort of lost faith in Dakota after War of the Worlds.Djimon Hounsou has been good no matter what i have seen him in, so the cast is somewhat decent, We will see on this one.
I am leaning towards putting in Season 1 of heroes, before paying money to see it.
