I know the winners were picked at random, but without your site, and the excellent work you guys do at keeping us up with the “going-ons” in Hollywood… I wouldn’t have been coming here to this site so regularly to begin with. You guys really do run the best site for news and stories from Hollywood. You guys Rock!!!*

      • Raven,

Thanks so much, very kind of you to say that.

  2. Congrats to the winners!

  3. Good thing I didn’t win. Bought the box set of Predator 1: Ultimate Hunter Edition & 2 the other day. It’s amazing how well the first movie holds up.

  4. Im Anxious to see Predators, i watched Predator not too long ago. I loved how the Predator looked like in that film. Stan Winston did heck of job as he always did up till he died. Not to mention Kevin Peter Hall played a great predator in both of the first films. Does anyone know if Fox plans to make more Predator films if Predators does well in theaters?

  5. @ Vic Holtreman

I gotta ask ya this cause i hear different things from different people. Is Predators intended to ignore the AVP films? Or are the AVP films in a way spin-offs that take place in the same continunity? In predators, they take humans off Earth on dump them on their own turf to hunt, seems like a way for film that could take place after AVP-R and be considered a sequel in the Predator franchise at the sametime. I thought of AVP films as crossover films that serve as a bridge between two franchises. Because its been stated theres more than one Predator clan as one fact, another is Charles Bishop Weyland & Ms. Yuntani’s appearance’s in the films. as for the Predator weapon ending up in Ms. Yutani’s hands & not being shown in the alien films is one thing, but my friends and i watched all the Alien films closely and we heard Bill Paxton’s Character mention a Plasma weapon when discussing what weapons they had to Ripley in Aliens. Only thing was nothin was shown, but Plasma weapon was mentioned. Anyways i know alot of people hated the films but i thought they were ok. I thought AVP would be terrible since it was PG-13 but i liked the cast alot more than i did than in the 2nd film. But i thought the 2nd film was good too despite poor characters in it. Thing i hated was how it ended, felt like it ended on a cliffhanger.

    • WallyWest,

I don’t know the specifics of the script, but I assume this has nothing to do with with the two awful AVP movies – it’s probably an attempt to make up for how horrible those were.

      • According to everything I’ve seen, it’s a sequel only to the first Predator movie.

        And according to IMDB:
When asked where he drew his inspiration for how to make a Predator film, Robert Rodriguez responded he was inspired what to do from the original Predator (1987), and what not to do by Predator 2 (1990), AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004), and AVPR: Aliens vs Predator – Requiem (2007). Furthermore he added he drew no inspiration whatsoever from the Predator comics.

        • I read on IMDB that Predators is a sequel to both Predator (1987) & (Predator 2). Same on Wikipedia, and on Wikipedia talked liked the AVP films excist as crossovers between Predator & Alien franchises. Someeone else told me the AVP films are spin-offs that still excist in the same continity due to the facts of different clans of predators being confirmed, Charles Bishop Weyland & Ms. Yutani’s companies being involved in the films etc. Mostly what i been told is the purpose of Predators and two Alien prequels are be made as way to ignore the AVP films due to the negativity of the 2nd film.

  6. how com it ses predator starring carl weathers(rocky) and micheal biehn (terminator) ??

  7. Congrats to the winners.
