Wow. Notice how they FINALLY actually say “GI Joe” now?
Up till now none of the trailers/ads have actually SAID it outloud.
I plan on seeing this, despite my feeling that this version of GI Joe may not work on the screen. I read the book, and without dropping any spoilers, I will say that I thought the story at least was okay, pretty much in line with the type of plot you’d find in the old cartoons. If you can buy into the nanotechnology featured in the trailers, you can probably buy the rest. Cobra was always using tech that was pretty outrageously advanced, even in the comic books. Some of the dialogue was terribly cliched, but some of it worked just fine. I did not agree with all of the changes made to the characters / overall setup, but it’s still very much in the same mode as the old Joe cartoon and the British version “Action Force.” I just don’t know if the full package will deliver.
Regardless of what else happens, it will be cool to see a live-action Snake Eyes doing his thing.
Those posters look freakin awesome.
snake eyes here I come!
with the exception of Snake-eyes and Storm-shadow, I can’t tell any of them apart. G.I.Joe was always about the individuality of the characters meshing together as a team. That’s not here.
This seems like the movie I could take my nephew to and enjoy at the same time.
