Every poster I've seen for Where The Wild Things Are has made me excited for the movie. It looks like a fantastic movie. Speaking of fantastic... Fantastic Mr. Fox looks interesting. The animation looks very different and very cool. A Christmas Carol looks decent, but Jim Carrey can sometimes get on my nerves. Also, he's playing multiple roles in the film and that's usually a bad idea. (***COUGH*** Norbit and Nutty Professor sequel ***COUGH***). I'll probably see that one though, but only because it's a Christmas movie. When it gets closer to the holidays I'll be all excited for it, but now it's like "Christmas? We haven't had Halloween!!" but anyway these are all good posters this week. I wish you guys posted posters more than once a week because I love them!

Hey yeah, and when are we supposed to hear some Cap casting announcements? I had totally forgotten about that. I like that fan-made poster, though it still lists Nick Cassavettes as the director, which we know is no longer from a long time ago.
Anyways, out of all these films, I'm really only interested in Toy Story 3 obviously, Where The Wild Things Are, A Christmas Carol and maybe Fantastic Mr. Fox.

@ Rob and Ross

I guess the thing about it more than anything is that Jackie Chan does Kung Fu and not Karate, like Pat Morita did, therefore it would only make sense to call it The Kung Fu Kid.

@ Karen,

I don't dig that poster either, lol

@ Longshanks

We were just as surprised by that as you, I thought Kung-Fu Kid was a much better idea (it's still listed as that on IMDB although that doesn't mean much).

I'm sorry. There is something really kind of perverse about the "Blind Side" poster. It looks like she's about to feel his tush. Pretty awful IMHO.

@Longshanks,

It SHOULD. Not really sure why it's The Karate Kid after the name was said to be changed. I've read in a few places that this art/poster may have been created BEFORE the name change. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the studio changed it back to the original, to capitalize on the name recognition.

That poster for Paranormal Activity is awesome in how subtle it is. Not really in to scary movies, but if I were, I would want to see that one based on the poster alone.

Ok, so I'm not sure if the last post was caught by the spam filter or if this stupid computer at work just didn't submit it, so I'm going to post it again. So if it was the spam filter, please ignore the double post. :-) Good thing I copy every post before I try to post it, or else I would lose half of my posts, lol.

Anyway, here it is:

That Cpt. America one got me excited, then I read that it's fan made, oh well. Hopefully soon we hear some news about who will play Cpt. America. I would say Thomas Jane but it seems like he's becoming a B-movie king, lol. And he would need to bulk up quite a bit, much more than he did for Punisher, but I think he has the face for it...

What is with Christmas Carol and flying??

The Fourth Kind... What, are they trying to one up the title of Close Encounters of the Third Kind??? Lame... Based on "actual case studies." Right, we all know what it really means when they say it's based on something real. That means they take the general idea of something that happened or was said to have happened, then they make up everything else...

The Karate Kid, with Jackie Chan?? First of all, his name in the movie is Mr. Han, which means he isn't only Chinese in real life, but his character is also Chinese. So why the heck would he be teaching the kid KARATE??? I mean I know that Karate was taught to Okinawan's by the Chinese to defend themselves from the Japanese, but seriously, do we need a history lesson for the title to make sense? The Kung Fu Kid sounded dumb as heck but at least it would have made sense...

Fantastic Mr. Fox: Ooh, George Clooney and Meryl Streep in one movie? Now I almost want to see it just to see how they will manage to put a political message in a child's story movie... Get them while they're young right?? lol.

Get Low: Never heard of this before, but am a fan of Robert Duvall. Wonder what that is about...

Skipping stupid horror movie posters...

Dark Country: Wow, so Tom Jane and Ron Pearlman are now officially the B-movie gang leaders or what??

The Blind Side: Sports movie, no thanks, but damn, is that Sandra Bullock??? *raises eyebrow*

Bad Lieutenant: Wow, is that a comedy or something? WTF?? Looks pretty dumb, and Nic Cage... Anyway, he really should cock the hammer on a revolver than put his finger on the trigger. With the hammer cocked, that trigger pull is down to like 1.5 - 2.5lbs, real easy to accidentally discharge it...

skipping two more dumb horror movie posters...

Toy Story 3: Seriously, a big 3?? Well, I'm most likely going to watch it so...

Interesting posters this friday... :-)
