New Posters: Saw VI, Inglourious Basterds, Shutter Island & More!

Aug 20, 2009 by

Last up we have the first official poster for Up in the Air, the newest film from Juno and Thank You for Smoking director, Jason Reitman. The film stars George Clooney as a man who’s “cherished life on the road” is threatened just as he’s about to reach ten million frequent-flyer miles and just  met the “frequent-flyer woman of his dreams.” The film co-stars Vera Farmiga, Jason Bateman, Anna Kendrick, Melanie Lynskey and Danny McBride.

There was already a teaser poster for Up In The Air released at the Cinema Expo in Amsterdam a few months back, which was done in the style of Saul Bass (Catch Me If You Can comes to mind). This latest one shows off Clooney in the lead (as well as other cast members), albeit with his back turned, far away and clearly photoshopped. However, I dig it nonetheless. Check it out:

Up in the Air arrives in theaters sometime in December, 2009.

So there you go, another batch of movie posters. Which is your favorite?

  1. Just think in 10 years Rob Zombie will be directing the Saw remakes and Tarrentino will be putting out the Ultimate Directors cut of Inglorious Basterds on PinkRay.
    Ah the future,,,

  2. the ultimate director’s cut which will then be part of the Mastered Extended Release which will include Grindhouse and both Kill Bill films. A box set on PinkRay (classic) not to be missed.

  3. Can NOT wait for [Rec]2. Will end up waiting forever, if the slipshod American DVD release of the original [Rec] is any indicator.
