Happy Friday everyone! For our first Friday of of the last month of 2009, and our biggest Poster Friday collection ever (separated into two parts), we’ve again gathered the latest posters to come out for this week’s poster round-up.

I took a holiday last weekend (a rare event) so that means Screen Rant’s wall this week now includes two weeks worth of new one-sheets separated among two posts. This set (part one) includes Star Trek, The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond, Cash, Main St., The Electric Slide, The Devil’s Double, The Horseman, Nine, A Single Man, District 13: Ultimatum, The Road, The Lovely Bones, The Wolfman, Avatar, Greenberg and 44 Inch Chest.

We also have a little bonus for Thor.

Let’s get to it.

To start, here’s a cool looking retro poster for Star Trek featuring the original Enterprise that started it all. The image comes from Star Trek: Art of the Film.

  1. i think it would have been best for wesley snipes to play the protagonist, watching the fight scenes from the triler i can picture him as eli, denzel if good but action/fighting movies arent really his thing, still going to watch it though (im a fan of denzel)

  2. Before i scrolled down on the poster for the Road i thought it was a movie called Rolling Stone. Respect for the great photo shop work on Thor, though i wouldn’t love a movie with that Thor. I imagine him being bulkier. Or am i just being picky? Also, go away Colin Firth movies.

  3. thor looks ugly, and if this is what he’s actually going to look like in the movies then im sorry to say, im not going to watch it :-(

looks to corny and old fashioned, especially with todays fashion designers etc he could look much better.i know its only a fan made drawing/design but still

  4. @jwalka
He’s a norse god, he’s not exactly supposed to look modern

  5. He won’t look like that in the real version, lol. Don’t worry :)

  6. The Trek one’s a winner for me. Great bit of deco design.

Sexy Beast depended for a large part on the surprise element of Ray Winstone being made to look like a wimp by Gandhi and Lovejoy. Without Ben Kingsley, and with the more understated but equally terrifying Ian McShane (I think SB basically got him the gig on Deadwood) letting Winstone know he can’t be trusted, 44 Inch Chest will have to be…different to measure up. At least the same writers are involved, and you can’t go wrong with John Hurt.

  7. @ xigbar, i didnt mean it in that way, i meant it shouldnt look as corny as this.

i just hope the main char bulks up and the armor is completely different to this thing

  8. THOR, Starring in Medieval Meat Train! ^
Is it just me or is Cameron selling the female Na’vi off as a hot alien babe? The flat faced blue halibut tone just doesn’t do it for me,,, 8-O
The Nine, and Greenberg trailers, looked absolutely awful btw. :-)

  9. jwalka, you realize that it’s a FAN MADE FAKE poster for Thor right??
