Is this the poster for James Cameron’s next project: Avatar?

Yes, it’s fuzzy, I tried to enlarge and clean it up from the image that originally came from AICN but I found over at /Film.

AICN seems to have pulled the story/image but it’s still up over at /Film, so I don’t know how long it will remain there or this one will remain up here.

The plot of Avatar, according to IMDB.com:

In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na’vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.

This is a project that Cameron has wanted to do for a long time and is finally moving forward with the release date scheduled way off in 2009. The word is that this movie will be made with all kinds of uber-technology and you know that Cameron likes to push the boundaries of the technical aspects of filmmaking. I’m not at all a fan of him personally due to interviews I’ve read where he’s come across as pretty arrogant and his recent attempt to promote a fizzled documentary that was supposed to prove that Jesus’ remains had been found. Having said that, the man knows how to make movies… he’s actually responsible for my all-time favorite movie Aliens.
