Recently, a long-time rumor regarding Pokémon Legends: Arceus has been confirmed to be true, and it could mean that others are more accurate than previously thought. The existence of Hisuian Voltorb has been theorized by fans almost since the game was first announced, and it has been confirmed by the developers to be included in the game. What this means for other rumors surrounding Pokémon Legends: Arceus in the biggest creature capture series is unknown, but there are some possibilities.

In the world of Pokémon, there are many creatures for players to collect, battle, train, evolve, and trade. However, not all of them are a part of the natural world. Voltorb is one of a few Pokémon that was not created naturally, and although its in-game descriptions have not confirmed this, it is heavily implied to have been created from Poké Balls somehow. Pokémon Legends: Arceus' way of storing Pokémon is much less advanced than in previous titles, so there are also much fewer Poké Balls. Because of this, and the fact that the game does not contain Poké Balls in their typical form - instead using primitive wooden versions - fans have theorized that Voltorb would also be different due to their connection. And recently, they were proven correct.

There are many rumors and fan theories surrounding Pokémon Legends: Arceus at the moment. Many of them are centered around the much-anticipated Hisuian regional variants that the title has been teasing. Others relate to features that will be in the game, such as the one that the game would be a completely open world akin to Breath of the Wild, although that one has been disproven. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will not have BOTW's completely open world, something that has disappointed fans who were hoping for it. The reveal of Hisuian Voltorb, which has been one of the major candidates for a Hisuian form ever since the ancient Poké Balls were revealed, means that many of these theories could have more truth to them than fans know.

Rumors Of Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Hisuian Starter Evolutions

Pokémon: Legends Arceus' Hisuian Starter Evolution Rumors Explained

Of the many Pokémon rumored to be getting new Hisuian forms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there are three candidates that stand out: the game's starters. The rumor of Hisuian variants of Decidueye, Samurott, and Typhlosion is a relatively new one, but it's one that's quickly gained traction and excited fans who are already looking forward to the game's release. Legends Arceus' Hisuian starter evolutions has been a persistent rumor. If they're true, then it would be the first game in the series to feature regional variants of a starter Pokémon, which could start an exciting trend of following titles doing the same.

Since Hisuian Voltorb has been officially confirmed, the Hisuian starters could very well follow suit. The three are rumored to each have a specific secondary type in addition to the primary ones from their standard forms: Rowlett (Fighting), Oshawott (Dark), and Cyndaquil (Ghost). This detail may make the rumor even more likely than Hisuian Voltorb was before its announcement since its Electric/Grass typing was not a major facet of the theories surrounding it. The fact that the starter rumors are more fleshed-out than the ones previously surrounding Hisuian Voltorb bodes well for their probability.

Other Hisuian Pokémon Rumors In Legends: Arceus

Theories of Hisuian variants of other Pokémon with less significance than the starters are also widespread. Although the theories as to which Pokémon will inevitably get new Hisuian forms are countless and varied, there are a few significant candidates. Many fans believe that Hisiuan Weavile or an equivalent alternate evolution for Sneasel is Pokémon Legends: Arceus' mysterious climbing Ride Pokémon that has so far gone unannounced. Rumors of a Hisuian Qwilfish in Legends Arceus have also sprung up due to an Easter egg in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Details on them are unknown, but that hasn't stopped fans from theorizing.

The fact that Qwilfish contains a hint to a different form in a previous title is much greater evidence for a Hisuian variant than Voltorb had. Hisuian Weavile as Legends: Arceus' last Ride Pokémon, or at least an equivalent evolution, doesn't have the same kind of hint, but it has been heavily theorized to be the last unannounced Ride Pokémon based on an allegedly leaked screenshot. Weavile is also a Sinnoh-native Pokémon, which lends some credence to its probability.

Hisuian Forms Of Other Artificial Pokémon In Legends: Arceus

Pokémon BDSP: How To Find (& Catch) Porygon, Porgon2, and Porygon-Z

Although Voltorb is one Pokémon that was formed artificially, it is far from the only one. The Magnemite and Porygon families are two species of Pokémon either created or influenced by human interference. Porygon was purposefully created by humans in a laboratory, and is a being made of solid computer code. Pokémon BDSP let players find and catch Porygon-Z and Magnezone, their final evolutions that were introduced in the original Gen 4 games. Magnemite isn't confirmed to have been created by humans' influence, but its main feeding source is electricity from houses and power plants, so it still has been affected and possibly even altered by modernization and the effect of humans on the Pokémon world.

Magnemite and Porygon have also been rumored to have Hisuian forms, if not as much as Voltorb was. The fact that one artificial Pokémon has gained a regional variant in the new title means that others might not be as likely, since the developers may not want to use up too many of the rumored 17 regional forms for them. Porygon, in particular, is less likely since it is explicitly stated to be made from computer code, which does not yet exist in Hisui's time period. However, fans could see an entirely original Pokémon that was its inspiration. The fact that Porygon-Z and Magnezone, the two families' final forms, are both native to the Sinnoh region does also give a small amount of likelihood to Pokémon Legends: Arceus featuring new regional forms of them.
