Go Fest is making its return in 2021 with Pokemon Go. This guide will show players all the different ways they can prepare for this event. Go Fest is a yearly event that takes place in the Summer and offers new and special content for players who participate. Outside of the new Pokémon, this 2-day event will allow players to participate in new Special Research tasks and discover items never before seen in the game. With everything surrounding the global pandemic last year, Go Fest will be a bit different for 2021. This guide will show players everything they can do to prepare for this event.

Go Fest 2021 will take place between 2 different days, July 17th and July 18th. This is a premium event, meaning that players will need to purchase a ticket using real money. Usually, the ticket will run players about $15 USD but this time around players can pick it up for just $5. The theme for this year’s Go Fest is a music festival. Tons of Pokémon like Pikachu, Ponytail, and Zigzagoon will be given unique costumes for this event. Not only that, but certain Pokemon that are exclusive in certain parts of the world will begin to appear on the map. Here is how players can prepare for this event.

How To Prepare For Go Fest 2021 in Pokemon Go

Here are some ways for players to prepare for Go Fest!

  • Keep Track of The Time: This is especially important during Day 1 when the habitats of Pokémon will change every hour. It will alternate between Jungle, Desert, Ocean, and Cave. The event lasts for 8 hours on the first day and has a few standout Pokémon players won’t want to miss, including Dieno during the Cave hour. Don’t lose track of time.
  • Rock Star or Pop Star: Players will be able to choose between a Rock Star or Pop Star Pikachu. Depending on which one the plate r chooses determines the music that will play during the event. The music is produced by Junichi Masuda, the producer of the Pokémon series.
  • Today View: Every hour, a new Community Challenge will be available. Make sure to look at these often to help the cause. Upon completion, players will earn rewards for the rest of the hour.
  • Save Incenses: Rare Pokémon like Unown and Chatot will appear during certain hours when using an Incense. Be sure to save these for the event.

While every detail of Go Fest has yet to be revealed, many players are excited to see what Niantic has in store. There are small hints of Meloetta, the music legendary Pokémon of Unova will make its debut in the game. It will be interesting what new content will be provided to ticket holders.
