Plot For Superman Returns Sequel? Spoilerish!

Is this the potential plot for the Superman sequel? It does confirm two villains, and Lex is back, and this time it appears he’s in charge of a mega-corporation. That’s what I think they should’ve done with the otherwise fun Superman Returns (seriously, I liked it–except for the kid).
Okay, this is spoilerish, but rumors abound that it will likely change anyway, if this plot is true.
This is what Singer pitched to Warner Bros.:
Lex makes a deal with Braniac, bascially handing over his entire company to the super villain (and one would assume, himself) and havoc ensues. Apparently the son is involved, too.
Other than the son issue, this sounds suspiciously like Kevin Smith’s unused Superman Lives/Reborn draft that Tim Burton was to direct and Nic Cage was to star, back in 1998. It had Supes dying, Lex and Braniac (plus Doomsday, I think), a giant robot spider (put into Wild Wild West instead, seriously) and a gay robot (seriously–producer Jon Peters liked the gay character from Smith’s Chasing Amy). I think if they saved this for part three, I’d be okay with it, maybe have some gigantic villain that Supes can go mano a mano with.

Very cool! Except the gay robot part. Yeeash. I really hope that the story is more on Superman than on his *ahem* son. Returns was a good film up until we found out Jason was Supe’s son. I also want to see more Routh and less Reeve as far as Superman goes this time round,and I shouldn’t even mention that I want to see some major ass kicking coming from Supes. This film will be awesome! Bring it on!

The gay robot was Jon Peters’ idea back in 1997 when Kevin Smith was on the script. He was inspired by everything he saw that that time, including Hooper, the gay black comic book creator in Chasing Amy or Chewbacca from the Star Wars Special Editions (Peters wanted Brainiac to have an alien dog as a pet) and so on.

i hope this is true, and that they integrate the return to krypton footage that they paid for and cut from the last movie
*SIGH* I just wish Luthor had nothing to do with this. Braniac is cool (want Darkseid though).

I hope they are careful. If they do use too much from Smith’s script, he could get alot out of them if he sues.
Smith likes the Golden Aged Superman, the one that couldn’t fly……
i am just glad should they are going ahead with this film JLA should come second this was greenlit first and the idea they are recasting routh and bale is just silly

I was truely disappointed in this movie. They didn’t pick a guy that looked good enough to be superman they picked a tom cruise loking guy. And that’s not superman.
I saw superman returns in theaters and I truely wished that I hadent wasted my money to see it. I was bored the entire time that I was there to see that movie.
There is nobody better then Christopher
Reeve may God rest his soul. He was the best one I have ever seen. Then my next favorite was Dean Cain playing superman in Lois & Clark The New Adventures Of Superman. Those are my favorites of all time. And I also like Tom Welling as Clark in Smallville. But that Brandon Routh was a joke.
I mean come on in the movie with Christopher bieng superman he couldn’t be sexual with a mortal unless he was mortal himself. So there’s no way he could have had a kid with lois. I hate that movie and I am not even going to waste my time seeing how that new one is going to dissapoint me.
I will just stick with what I like and that’s the superman movies with Christopher Reeve and Smallville and Lois and Clark with Dean Cain. There will never be any others that I like more then those.

Skin effect (presence of loose electrons around a live solid electrical wire) can be an example for Supes electromagnetic shield, making his costume invulnerable. Skin effect disappears when elec. power is cut off similar also to Supes shield. it vanished when he was unconcious in the metropolis hospital. Notice that Supes costume was easily removed by doctors.
