I agree withe an earlier comment. Pitt is a bad. Meet joe black, 7 years in Tibet, Troy, the mexican, th devils own to name a few. even his “good” performances aren’t great or believable enough to call him a consistently good actor.

@greenknight – You may be right in regards to Eli Roth and Tarantino. The Circle series , imho, is fantastic. They even turned it into a graphic novel that was very well done. The Showdown is another good one as is House. Frank Peretti wrote that with him, and I just happen to enjoy both authors.

I voiced my opinion about how I find the concept lacking any real credibility and how I just believe Tarantino has lost it in the director’s chair..And it wasn’t the first poster’s this movie has put out it is just the first character poster.See the link below for other posters. I just am not a fan of bloody, violent revenge based movies when they are appealing to the lowest common denominator. Sorry if you think I am ignorant in regards to this film but my posts have pretty much always been skewed to the negative side for this movie. I get the feeling that Eli Roth was an inspiration to Tarantino and that Tarantino is his protege instead of the other way around.

Always looking for new authors and books to read so I will give Ted Dekker a read.. WHat do you recommend first the Circle Series or the Paradise Books or something else?

@greenknight – I was by no means trying to “show you”. Just find it kind of ignorant to judge an entire movie by the very first poster it puts out. You don’t like Tarantino there’s nothing wrong with that, I have already said I didn’t enjoy at least 2 of his films but that won’t stop me from seeing them.

I like books too, but more of a Ted Dekker fan myself. His book to movie haven’t gone so well though. Thr3e was not very good, great book horrible movie and House was merely OK.

@ Walwus…ooohhh you really showed me..now I feel bad that I may have hurt Tarantino’s feelings..Actually reading is much more up my alley..I’ll give Twilight a chance as a novel before this movie..and Walwus it’s just my opinion…Not everybody has to like the mighty Tarantino. For the record I love Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction and True Romance which Tarantino wrote..he’s just been wasted potential with his last few homage films IMO..

The premise of this movie doesn’t interest me in the slightest. Its intentional misspelling in the title kind of makes it seem pretentious.

Then again the only Tarantino movie I’ve ever watched in full was Kill Bill which was a great parody of martial arts films with some really great fight scenes.

@greenknight – Seriously man if you are looking for a documentary on the Holocaust try the History channel. This has nothing to do with reality. I’m sure Tarantino is very upset about loses his credibility with you as a viewer based on nothing more than a picture. Do you also look at books and think to yourself “This title sucks and the artwork is poor. I refuse to read this ‘Gone with the Wind’ “.

I like Tarantino, except Jackie Brown and Kill Bill 2, both were too slow for me and even Deathproof took too long to get going, and I like Kurt Russell films. I’m interested to see how BJ Novak does in this because I’ve only ever seen him in comedy and that’s all he’s ever written from what I can tell.

Where do you buy “chill pills” dude? Supposed to be a realistic movie concept grounded in reality but it has already shown that it will require a lot of suspension of belief to make it work for me..I’ll pass…No Thanks!!

Don’t like the poster or the movie concept of revenge and bloody disgusting visuals to sell a product that can’t make it with a good story…

Don’t like it and it’s just an opinion.

Not to mention it probably would have also cut through his internal and external jugular veins and his right and left carotid arteries so he would have bled out in under two minutes regardless of pressure placed on these vessels to stop the bleeding.(how do you put pressure on both carotid arteries? Doing so would mean you would stop all blood flow to the brain and cause brain death anyway so if the laceration didn’t kill you the cure would…Just a dumb poster to me…

and just for the record…with a scar across his throat that looks that wide and long..it would have had to have been a deep cut and it runs right through his larynx…there is no way he would be able to talk ever again with any volume above a raspy whisper…so the movie has already lost a lot of its credibility to me..

No interest at all in watching Tarantino further reduce his once promising career to that of a directing hack who gets big budgets to be overly pretentious and make revenge films in the vein of Eli Roth with shocking graphic violence replacing any depth of story telling and ..gasp!! geez coming up for air after that sentence.(in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction there were some conversations in those films that I wished I could have sat in on, and not the scenes where Michael Madsen in dancing around the cop tied to the chair)

Quentin Tarantino makes AWSOME movies, and Brad Pitt is even MORE GORGEOUS with age and a scar around his neck! I cant wait for this movie to come out in the United States in August, and to beautiful Angie at Cannes! Brad Pitt is good at picking film projects. He never lets me down!
