The latest Pitch Perfect 3 trailer has dropped online. The Barden Bellas are back for one last time as they try to revive their glitzy stage personas before they finally say goodbye and head on with their regular lives. From the looks of it, however, it does not seem like it is going to be an easy ride for the team recapturing their former glory days as they are pitted against other musicians who are not quite impressed with their a capella singing.

Quickly gaining popularity after its debut installment rolled out in 2012, Becca (Anna Kendrick) and the rest of the Bellas eventually came back for  Pitch Perfect 2, just three years later in 2015. Now that the final go-round for the musical/comedy trilogy is merely three months away, a brand new look on what to expect from the girls' big send-off has been released.

The second trailer for the film is chock full of new snippets from the movie and some extended ones from its first official sneak peek rolled out back in June. The clip sees the Bellas back in their old competing costumes, only to realize that their days of performing up on the stage are long over.

The Pitch Perfect franchise performed incredibly well at the box office. The first and second film raked in $115 million and $290 million, respectively, for a production cost of just $17 and $29 million. And if the trend continues, the third film could have a significant increase in ticket sales especially given that it is the last hurrah for the Bellas. However, its December opening day could pose some challenges as it will arrive in cinemas just as Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi enters its second week. In terms of genre competition, the Hugh Jackman-led musical The Greatest Showman hits theaters soon after Pitch Perfect 3 rolls out, which could also impede the film's box office chances.

Directed by new franchise helmer Trish Sie (after she took over from Elizabeth Banks), Pitch Perfect 3 seems to be a great time in the cinema. The returning cast is joined by newcomers Matt Lanter and John Lithgow -- who will play Fat Amy’s (Rebel Wilson) grandfather. Meanwhile, Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose also boards the project as the leader of the Bellas’ rival group.
