  1. I laughed out loud at Peter Dinklage as Batman.
Which is permissible since I think Peter would too.

  2. Ill correct that

*Star wars episode 7: No hope

  3. OMG that Peter Dinklage as Batman was the funniest thing I have seen all week

  4. I’ve gotta say…I think that Dinklage thing is pretty mean-spirited.

I don’t think it would be amusing to have an image of a black actor as Batman where the picture is shadowy (as many images of Batman are) but because it’s a black person all you see is two white eyes staring out of the darkness and can’t make out anyone’s face.

Peter Dinklage is a fine actor and shouldn’t be reduced to his height in that way, no moreso than an actor of a minority race should be reduced to their skin color.

Part of the joke seems to be that Dinklage playing Batman would be absurd. It would be funnier if that wasn’t actually a problem in film and other industries; there is an assumption that people won’t accept dwarf actors in all kinds of roles and so you hardly see them outside of movies about elves and leprechauns. Yeah, it would be weird to have Dinklage as Batman…but that same logic is applied to all sorts of other roles and positions in society. For example, small people fall in love…when was the last time there was a romantic comedy with a dwarf actor?

Why not? Because dwarves are short and hahahahaha that’s so hilarious. Or something.

    • The Dinklage image as Batman is funny because Dinklage is short.
Not because he is a dwarf. Any short actor would be just as funny.
Dinklage jokes about his height all the time and would not be offended.

    • It would be GREAT to see two white eyes and a big ole’ white teeth smile!!!

      A-hole!!!!!

    • Dinklage has gotten most of his roles based solely on his height, yes he’s a great actor but you think that was the only reason he was cast as Tyrion lannister?

      • Dinklage also got the role of Trask in the next X-Men film. A character who isnt normally short or a dwarf. He would find the Batman pic funny.

        • It’s also a character that was black in x2. So I guess they’ll address that

  5. Whoah, I never noticed that Joker connection before o_O

    • Not sure there is a direct connection. More a loose one.
Romero’s clown face is the classic circus clown face.
The Ledger clown face is a darker version of that.

      • And for someone who really doesn’t like Clowns (i.e. me) I find Romero scarier than Ledger. For me, while Ledger was dark and broody the face he used was more ‘didn’t wear waterproof make-up and got caught in the rain’ as opposed to an insane, freaky, murderous clown face

        • The pasty face look for Ledger was a disappointment.
The classic clown face while sad is ominous and
Romero’s Joker played on that aspect of it.

  6. The Star Wars image… I… threw up in my mouth a little
    :-(

  7. Tell you what…I would KILL for some GRAY BOXES right now.

  8. I like the Peter Dinklage as Batman too. He’s a good actor, I’m sure he’ll be great in X-men DOFP.

Please don’t let the Star Wars one happen for real. I’m scared too.
