Paul Bettany shared that the Avengers' recent drama will be cast to the side to focus on the task at hand in Avengers: Infinity War. The actor, who plays Vision -- an android who possesses a synthetic vibranium body, originally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark/Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) trusted AI assistant.

The ideological difference brought about by the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War drove Tony and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) to butt heads with each other. While Tony agreed with government overview, Rogers was still caught up in his fears of once again being manipulated by the wrong people as what happened in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The drama escalated with Bucky (Sebastian Stan) thrown into the middle. Heroes in the MCU were forced to eventually choose a side and by the end of the film, the Avengers were totally divided, with Rogers forced to operate underground.

In a new interview with GMA, Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen were asked whether their characters still have grievances against each other. Vision and the Witch were on opposing side during Civil War with the former taking Stark's side, while the latter chose Cap's team. But the two actors were in unison about burying the hatchet and letting go of "old grievances," especially because they have, as Bettany called it, "bigger fish to fry" in Infinity War.

Vision and Wanda are two of the most powerful characters in the MCU right now. But we can expect that the red android will play a more prominent role in Infinity War given that he has Infinity Stone embedded in his forehead which is one of the gems that Thanos is going after. While it's a little disconcerting to think about, Bettany also revealed Vision could possibly function without the Mind Stone.

Marvel President Kevin Feige has previously shared that the reason for doing Civil War before Avengers: Infinity War is to up the ante in the culminating film -- by blindsiding the Avengers with the most powerful villain they'll ever meet when the group is at its most vulnerable. The D23 Expo exclusive trailer may have implied that while Cap was still in hiding, the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes have made contact with the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as other heroes like Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). But we're pretty sure once the super soldier finds out what is going on, he won't think twice to come out and help the rest of the team.
