I only saw the dvd that had two different endings and neither of those had that ending. Both endings I saw stopped at the point of the boyfriend getting killed and one went a little further showing her slit her own throat.

“WARNING!! SPOILERS!!”I saw a screening version of the original movie and the one I saw in the theatre was a totally different and much better(IMHO)ending!The dvd version I saw must have been the original before paramount edited it and added the new ending,which is a lot scarier and more in line with what the whole film is going for, the dvd shows katie coming into the bedroom after she kills Mica(which you never see but surmise thru the audio)and she is on the floor rocking for like a day or so and you hear her gf come in and find the body of Mica and runs out and then the police come and go upstairs and see Katie and she is still holding the knife and goes toward the police while saying”Mica?…Mica?” They order her to drop it and she does’nt and boom,they shoot her and thats basically it.

i think the movie was super good i couldn sleep for a whole week. . . . =\ i was really scared but i guess is not the real one in this life

I thought it was definitely creepy, mostly because of the anticipation that something was going to happen. I don’t know that I would want to watch it a second time, but I do want to get the eventual dvd to see the original ending.

Watch it last night. Nowhere near as scary as I hoped it was going to be. Thought the story was not explored enough but I did enjoy it and yes it does mess with your mind a little.

Watch at the movies to get the full effect.

Ok I was just messing around in my previous post. If you really want to know… NO it is not a real story. I don’t recall seeing that the “real footage was kept confidential” but according to http://www.paranormalactivity-movie.com/press16.html “They’re not attempting to convince us this is a true story, a strategy that resulted in big bucks for ‘Blair Witch’…” but hey if it makes it scarier (and I believe it would by far) let other people believe it is real if they don’t know!!

The story is real, but not this actual movie, it says in the credits the actors depicted were ficticious and real footage was kept confidential. All in all, I thought it was good. Like some of you said, in the moment it wasnt that scary but I will definitely be freaking when my covers slip off my feet! And why would they sleep with the door open when they knew all the activity was in the hall?!?

to be honest, i did find it scary. but not to the point were i couldn’t sleep…

Not what I was expecting. Good movie but it felt like it was missing something. It didn’t seem like they went deep enough into the story. A lot of unanswered questions pertaining to the plot.

Watched it last night…. we enjoyed it but wasn’t quite as scared as I was hoping for… did get a couple decent chilling moments though… I think this is DEFINITELY a movie you should watch in a full movie theater.

Afterwards we watched Blair Witch b/c my friend hadn’t seen it either… got some good nervous energy out of that one too! hahaha

i personally don’t think i want to see it because i can’t even blow dry my hair when no one is home…so i don’t think this would be a good idea for me. what do you people think?

In the theater, PA was sufficiently taut to keep me interested – although having seen the original ending, I absolutely detest this one, it doesn’t hurt the other 98%

HOWEVER

Like Blair Witch, you don’t really get the full effect of the movie until you wake up at 2.30 in the morning for a moment or two like usual. At that point, some of the scenes and scares come back into your head and you start to wonder if that really is the house settling, the sprinklers running or the dog walking up the stairs

I will have to say though, that this needs to be seen in a theater or with good surround sound to get the full effect
