I think if you do make a second one you need to make it a whole lot scarier and longer. Mayber if you don't have her die she could get pregnant from that one night her and Micah had sex? And then the baby becomes posessed or something? Whatever you do you need to make it a lot scarier.

To be perfectly honest Paranormal activity bored me senseless, there was no storyline just a bunch of random sounds and the occasional dragging from the bed; However i sawe the original and other ending and granted the new ending has a bit more of the shock factor and whilst this is just my opinion i do feel this movie was gross;y overrated.

hmmm, well, if you KEEP the eerieness, incessant curiosity of one character and highlight “why” the main two characters contradict each other in principle, AND follow that through into “what happened downstairs” at the end of the Paranormal Activity…you have a sequel worth watching. Human relationship tension, confusion, and human contradictions that lead somewhere “dark” has been a very successful movie formula. I would watch it if the sequel was like this.

I watched the movie and the first thought that came to mind was oh my god, another cloverfield. then i just felt like i was watching another episode of ghost hunters just with more action. i don’t believe the studios should waste their money on another movie since it would just be pointless. take a lesson from the blair witch 2. please, don’t do it. save your money for something more worth it. next don’t overthink a situation too much, you guys just mess up movies when you do.

A SEQUEL to this horror flick may sound good but there is only a 50% chance of it making big. The phenomenal success that this movie received is mainly because of its Unexpected Release and with a shoe string budget, the director pulled it off very nicely. Now, with the expectations running high like anything, a sequel during 2012 may sound good but in actual IT WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL……Perhaps Hollywood Directors (including amateur directors like Oram Peli) should come up with these kinda experimental movies which will satisfy the audience.

@Angela,

I personally think the back story of Diane is an extraordinary excellent idea.
It will be good to see how her story started way before Katie’s did.
I’m guessing the producer’s would have to be extremely hesitant and delicate of the movie to avoid the bad success similar to blair witch 2.
I will be so excited to see another sequel to Paranormal Activity.

this is about the sequel to ‘Paranormal Activity’, I think it would be good to have this as DIANE’S(similar to Katie)Story???
