I think the new film should follow the style of "The Tale of Despereaux" rather than "Alvin and The Chipmunks".

The Secret of Nihm was one of my all time favorite movies as a kid, not sure how I feel about a remake.

The book is really great. I read it after seeing the film way back when and can say the film changed things so much that it ruined the story.

I say no to live action but yes to telling the story the proper way it should have been to begin with. Hand-drawn animation preferably.

I love the book, and the old movie was okay. I think they really didn't do it justice then. I think that the idea of doing animation/live action with super real cg characters is going to be easy to pull off. These days, that's the easy part. I just hope they work really hard to get the story and character development right to support the effects.
