Although we've seen first-person POV in film before (i.e. Blair Witch), Peli brought something new to the table by scaring the crap out of us without showing us what exactly it was that was doing the scaring. I loved Paranormal Activity and still dub it as the scariest movie I've ever seen (and I watched Alien when I was 10 years-old, so this is saying something!). I just hope Peli is smart enough to not bank his future success on the same formula as the first movie.
