Clips for the new science fiction-horror film Pandorum have been floating around in cyberspace, but the cowboys over at Shock Till You Drop have wrangled in the full German trailer for Pandorum.  Behold!

The film finds two astronauts waking up aboard an empty spaceship that ought to have tens of thousands of people on it.  To make matters worse, our two astronauts can’t remember who they are.  In their explorations, they come across a small band of human survivors and terrifying monsters!  Only those with the dough for admission or the patience for the wait until a TV broadcast will know what became of all those other passengers!

Check out the German Trailer for Pandorum – Hope you speak German!

(Does anybody else have the sudden urge to sing some Ramstein?)

Pandorum stars Dennis “my name is not” Quaid (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand, The Punisher).  Quaid’s grown-man sincerity and Foster’s high-energy (read: pyscho) characterizations (Alpha Dog, Hostage, 3:10 to Yuma) could make for an interesting on-screen pairing.  The film’s director, Christian Alvart, previously brought us the Renee Zwelleger thriller, Case 39, which I somehow missed (somehow…).

I’m gonna guess that if you actually sat through the  German-language trailer for Pandorum, you’ve also seen other clips.  That unfounded assumption made, why do you think every trailer for this film is almost entirely devoid of scary monsters? Seriously, in all the promo media released for Pandorum we’ve only gotten half a look at the monsters involved, but will the creatures really be that epic of a surprise? At this point they better be – otherwise all this “secrecy” would’ve been for the sake of a letdown…

Pandorum hits theaters on September 25th.

  1. “(Does anybody else have the sudden urge to sing some Ramstein?)”

Haha, Scott, good one. I haven’t listened to them in a while actually… Great band.

The reason I don’t think they’ve shown much of the monsters in the film is to make you wanna’ pay admission to see just what they are. I dunno if they care as much about if it’s a letdown as much as they do about getting people’s money.

  2. Well lucky me German.
they played this trailer when i watched Inglorious Basterds last week. Seems like a medicore dubed movie (i like Quaids voice tho)
Somehow i keep gettin this Event Horizon Feeling when i see parts of the film. (is it just me?)
Dunno if they gonna show it in english but i dont feel like wathcing this in german. Most likly gonna wait till Blu-Ray release (or a screenrant review convince haha)

  3. This releases this week in the US and is in English. Having just read a piece from a blogger in France, I’m so psyched to check this out. I think the below roughly translated line best sums it up. – “Hardcore and nerve-wracking, every moment of the film is some sort of poisoned nightmare that one experiences at the same time as its heroes.” The rest is here http://blog.landofthegeeks.com/?p=15287

  4. Apparently there was a small secret screening yesterday of this. Found this on Fangoria “PANDORUM is a sci-fi spine-tingler loaded with twists and turns that should be preserved until the lights go down.”

  5. just seen the movie yesterday..it was full of thrill..right from the start until the end..

    it was d best..
