Following the death of one of the most important omnics at the hands of Widowmaker, Tracer will need to navigate carefully through the aftermath of the shocking death. In an exclusive preview for the upcoming Overwatch: Tracer - London Calling #3Tracer is put in a tough position after the omnic spiritual leader Mondatta's death seems to have driven a wedge between human and omnic relations.

Overwatch, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, debuted back in early 2016, as the first-person shooter brought together a large group of diverse characters for some exciting and fun gameplay. The game was an immediate hit as the six-on-six action and deep roster made for a compelling multiplayer experience. What was equally as impressive as the gameplay, was the lore behind each character. Blizzard regularly released all kinds of lore to build the universe, whether it was in-game, their gorgeous digital shorts, write-ups, and even comic books. In the latest comic, Overwatch: Tracer - London Calling #3, the aftermath of the digital short 'Alive' will be further explored.

Mariko Tamaki (Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me) and Babs Tarr (Batgirl of Burnside) are teaming up once again for the series' third issue. The second issue featured Tracer helping an omnic named Iggy repair the power grid for the omnic's home but concluded with a bang. In the issue, Tracer chased Widowmaker (working for Talon) across the rooftops of London and ended with the French sniper getting a clear shot at Mondatta through her chronal accelerator, killing the omnic. Here are some preview pages and the official synopsis of Overwatch: Tracer - London Calling #3

Tracer teamed up with Iggy to help repair the Grid, the source of power for the omnics’ Underworld home. Her efforts got her summoned by Mondatta, a prominent philosophical figure among the omnics. But shortly after their meeting, and despite Tracer’s best efforts to save him, Mondatta was assassinated. In the wake of his death, London’s omnics are left with fear and despair.

In the preview pages, the news seems to be discussing Mondatta's death which has clearly shocked both humans and omnic's alike. Tracer can be seen with a box filled with parts before her girlfriend Emily points at the TV, which prompts the Overwatch hero to quickly bolt out the door. Is Talon planning an attack? Are there omnic protests as the cover art suggests? It seems Tracer's life isn't about to get any easier after the fallout of Mondatta's assassination. We'll find out more on Monday, November 30th when the Overwatch: Tracer - London Calling #3 will launch from Overwatch and Dark Horse Comics.
