  1. The Best Harlem Shake video is indeed the best one. Loved it! Thanks for that!:D

  2. FIRST!!!

    DAMN IT!

    • MUHAHAHAHAHAAA!! I foiled your evil scheme!

      • Winchester my friend.

I am sending in the Bovine Commandos Elite Udder Squad!

6 of the highest trains cows you will ever not meet, but you will know they were there when you step outside your house and say “WTF!”

        MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

        • That is udder bullcrap! I’m sure there is no such thing as a Bovine Elite Squad. And if there is, I’m sure that it’s being used exclusively for high steaks operations (rare!) and not for mining my front lawn. That’s a pedestrian job for grunts!

          • See how good they really are?

Our Cows are Strictly Dairy, not Beef Cattle.

Which now scares me about letting my girls near you!

            • Oh no, please send them over. I will take good care of them. One at time. *fires up grill*

              • ::EEK::

                THELOSTEVILWINCHESTER!

  3. (For Harlem Shake HATERS)

Who hates the videos? Speaking for myself the only thing I hate is you believe they have a place on a TV & Movie News site Without The Sugar Coating.

So I hate the fact that what you find enjoyable that is not movie related gets stuck on here just based on the fact that you can.

Lets see in your last 10 SR Geek Picks where you collect the finest movie-related geekery from around the Web…

You have posted 22 Harlem Shake videos. Out of those 22 Videos maybe 5 are movie/tv related.

Not to mention your other poor choices for “movie-related geekery from around the Web…” Stress Test (German Deodorant Ad), NASA Johnson Style (Gangnam Style Parody), Cat vs. DVD Drive to name a few.

In looking at your history of posting “movie-related geekery from around the Web…” you seem to have slipped into the its hot on youtube lets slap it on Screenrant around 2 or so months ago. Looking at the 3-4 month mark you were almost exclusively “movie-related geekery from around the Web…”

What did you buy stock in Harlem Shake? Youtube? Do you have click throughs that link back to your site?

I find it hard to believe Vic said we need more visitors do anything you want to just get them to visit so you decided to pick whats fad out there and be darned if it is movie/tv related at all.

Maybe speak to Vic and see if you can have a 15 min of fame section. You know for stuff that comes and goes on a whim?

In closing it is not hate for the videos. Its the placement of said videos. If I want to see that type of video, stills, what not there are other (no offense Screenrant) sites that cater to that.

I come here for Movie/TV related information.

    • You must be really fun at parties.

      • I am especially when I go to a party… wait for… EXPECTING a party. Now when I go to a party and get something totally not a party then im probably not that fun because Im getting something that is not what it should be.

Hopefully that helps you to understand me a little more since you are so interested.

  4. Thank you for that Haters Harlem Shake. While I do admit some of the ones posted have been somewhat funny (particularly the washing machine one mentioned in yesterdays Geek Picks comments), I just can’t seem to wrap my head around why this is a meme in the first place.

  5. Uhm… does Google a FOX and WB affiliate? Cause I’ve seen TDKR and Amazing Spiderman shots there, but surprisingly no Avengers hahaha

    • ASM is Sony.

  6. I’ll never understand all the Harlem Shake hate. In fact I don’t understand all the Harlem Shake love. That’s the cool thing about internet subculture; you can actually choose if you like it or not.

I’m awestruck at how intense some people get over a craze and bash it like it’s a REAL problem. Lighten up, folks. It’s a bunch of people having fun, goofing off, being silly. It’ll pass just like Gangnam Style and Party Rock. No one’s even forcing you to watch it. Go complain about politics or something. Geez.

    • See the thing is this is not an internet subculture site. That information is best left for sites that cover that. Reddit and a few others come to mind.

Do you go to Burger King expecting a Big Mac? Do you go to a steak restaurant and expect them to have a Slurpee?

It would be better served if the stuff that was non movie/TV related were given its own section. They have a game site and a movie/TV. I come here for movie/TV stuff and when I want to check on gaming stuff I go to the gaming side.

It is not a hate for the Harlem Shake fad. (well some may hate it)

Funny thing is you complain about the complainers…. no one is forcing you to read the complaints. Why dont YOU go complain about politics? Im on a movie/TV site pointing at the influx of NON movie/TV related information.

      • Now it’s forever relevant.

        http://hsmaker.com/harlemshake.asp?url=http%3A%2F%2Fscreenrant.com

@Aknot – Dude, we just enjoy them. Plain and simple. Are they all movie-related? Nah. Have we gone a little “Shake Crazy” yeah, prob. We like to let our hair down sometimes. I enjoy it just because I know Vactor will gather up all the ones I personally want to watch.

In any event, you can rest assured the tide is passing on this and we’ll be winding down. It’s minute 14 man, almost time for last call. Hang in there.

        • I tried to post that page in the comments a couple of days ago, but the comment just wouldn’t show up (not even as “awaiting moderation”.) It probably was deemed to risky by the website software and just filtered out. ;)

        • Oh I think Ive proven im here for the long haul. ;)

Thing is what will take its place? What would be wrong with having a separate place for the ‘pop culture’ related stuff instead of in the format that contains movie/tv stuff?

That way the pop culture/15 in fame thing can have its own section leaving the TV/Movie stuff from around the web on its own.

And that link Ive already seen when I was researching Vactor….. yeah not stalking…researching……

      • Dude, there are no sites for internet subculture…that’s why it’s called internet subculture. It’s subculture, on the internet. Screenrant is on the internet. Hence, Screenrant shares the same space and subculture.

And it’s fine. I can’t see ANY real problem here. Your logic on “I want movie news on a movie site” doesn’t make sense because Screenrant isn’t downsizing on the news at all. There’s no quota. They have the best movie news coverage on the net IMHO and then there are Harlem Shake videos IN ADDITION to that.

        • I would tend to disagree. Reddit and a few other like sites could be considered internet subculture.

Meaning things on the internet that has different beliefs or interests then the rest of the internet.

What shows up on Reddit is different and not for everyone it is usually meme in context and or flavors of the week.

What shows up here (supposedly) is Movie and TV related news.

So you are saying there is no more news on movie/TV lets toss out whats hot at the moment to just get views? Or Hey thats enough movie/TV news lets toss out whats hot at the moment to just get views?

Sorry seems fairly cheap like in the context of shock news just to get viewers.

Im sorry you cant see the logic of only wanting movie/tv news on a movie/tv site.

When you say there is no quota it sounds again like well we have to put something out there lets toss this against the wall and see if it sticks.

That is like the most current Geek pics. Ice Cream in a condom. Animal Attacks? Yeah there is news worthy of a TV/Movie site.

It is fine that you cant see it. I do. It (imo) cheapens the site.

  7. i agree on your oscar pick, expect best supporting actor your think waltz,i think jones.
