I saw “Far North” recently and found it disturbing but excellent. Bean, as usual, was utterly believable.

Cage, however, has only ever gotten work b/c he’s Coppola’s nephew.

First of all, Sean is never bad in any role. Some of the films he’s been in may be bad, but he is usually the one thing good about them. Black Death is going to be awesome! as for Ca$h!, the official website is open with trailers available. If you want to see pics of Sean in costume for Black Death, there are some in the forums over at http://seanbeanonline.org If he would pander to the powers in Hollywood, he probably would be taking roles from under Nic Cage’s nose, but one of the things that makes him so special as an actor is that he marches to his own drum and the ponces in Hollywood can just sod off.

Wish Sean Bean got the parts Nic Cage has been getting — he’s 10 times the actor Cage is.

Too bad most of Bean’s recent films have been indy and straight to DVD. Watch Far North, if you can find it, for some of his best recent acting.

Lord Garth you are right on the money with Sean Bean…the only time I felt he was underused was in Ronin. Now I love Ronin, but Sean should have been in that film much longer.

I’m hoping to see this at some point, even if it does have to be on DVD. What pisses me off is that Nic Cage, who couldn’t act hot if he were on fire, is stealing BD’s thunder with that has-to-be-CRAP “Season of the Witch”. I wouldn’t look under my bed to see Nic Cage, frankly. Well, maybe if I had an extra-large can of RAID.

The guy had the good chisled looks of Roger Moore, with the suave charm and Physicality of Sean Connery, (watch Shackleton if you don’t believe me) would have been a perfect Bond in lieu of Remington Steel and his “Klingon Bird of Prey” Aston Martin

Now he’s been reduced to doing these crappy Shadey Assed Eastern European drug Dealer and car thief produced Van Damn straight to video stuff that prob plays well in Murmansk

Shame is all.

This looks pretty interesting. I love those kind of medieval movies where you feel transported back in time, historical like.

I would definitely want to see this movie.

I’m with Gary. I think Sean Bean has been typecast a bit as a villain, which is a pity. Anyone who’s a fan of the Richard Sharpe series knows he makes a great hero (one could maybe argue anti-hero). I’m definitely hoping this makes it to the US.

@Lord Garth – LOL!!! Come on man he wasn’t that bad in Flightplan was he? Or National Treasure. I liked him as well in the short lived show Crusoe as the Father.

I should have mentioned somewhere that he is going to be in Ca$h this year with Chris Hemsworth. The movie sound good too.

You’re suggestion of Capt Britain is dead on though.

Hmmm, I guess we’re going to have to start looking to international film makers for original ideas. This sounds interesting in the fact that it is completely different from stuff currently being produced by Hollywood. It doesn’t sound like something that I will go to the theater to see, but with the right trailer, maybe I would….

Well the plague-inflicted bodies didn’t look too convincing but I like the story concept and the star.

I especially like Bean because he played Rifleman Richard Sharpe in a series based on Bernard Cornwall’s books some time back.
