There are only a few weeks left to go before Netflix’s extremely addictive prison dramedy Orange is the New Black kicks off once again for its second season. The trailer for season 2 of Orange is the New Black promised plenty more conflict behind the bars as a new character called Vee (Lorraine Toussant) shows up to cause trouble for Red, with whom she has history, and Piper tries to go straight after her stint in the SHU.

Time for a quick recap of last season: George “Pornstache” Mendez was suspended after being set up by Daya to take the fall for her pregnancy, when in truth Pornstache’s colleague John is the father; Piper and Pennsatucky’s spiritual conflict came to a head in a brutal battle of shiv vs. screwdriver; Piper and Larry are on the rocks due to her fraternization with old flame Alex, who in turn has moved on to a relationship with Nicky; Taystee is back behind bars after taking a dislike to life on the outside; Gloria is running the kitchen after Red’s unceremonious dismissal, and Sam Healy’s lesbophobia led to him turn his back on Piper when her life was most in danger.

That’s quite a lot of character subplots to keep track of, but for those who have forgotten the details since binge-watching season one of Orange is the New Black, Netflix has released a handy batch of character posters to remind viewers exactly where everyone stands – and some of them move!

Now that’s an example of character posters done right. Orange is the New Black has already been renewed for a third season, which will reshuffle the cast a little. According to Screen Crush, Selenis Leyva (Gloria,) Nick Sandow (Joe Caputo), Adrienne C. Moore (Black Cindy) and Laura Prepon (Alex) will all be promoted to regulars in season 3.

Along with House of Cards, Orange is the New Black has helped to firmly establish Netflix’s reputation as a producer of original content. With a major new character added to the mix and a whole lot of trouble left over from last season, Piper’s next days in Litchfield are bound to be pretty eventful.
