I’m not saying they should let him keep thinking it, but to straight up torment him that way seemed more self-indulging than actually beneficial to the patient.

Ken J says:

Just my take on it though, I’m sure they intended for it to make you think a little. :-)

Joshi says:

I dunno, I definitely see your side of things, the guy was a bit of an ass and should have been more tactful with his approach, I just don’t think that Doctor did enough wrong that he deserved any kind of comeuppance.

Ken J says:

But House is infamous for playing pranks on people even when they don’t deserve it, so why not this guy? lol

It would have been satisfying to watch, that’s all. :-)

Joshi says:

More often than not they do deserve it. ;)

But yeah, we let House get away with that stuff because… well he’s House.

Ken J says:

He does and says things we wish we can say to people and get away with it, lol.

Joshi says:

I am surprised House doesn’t get the crap beaten out of him on a daily basis… by Cuddy.

Ken J says:

LOL, Cuddy is definitely the most understanding boss ever in the history of bosses fictional or real, lol.

Hey, question for everyone, I read in another thread that someone said Netflix doesn’t have as many movie available as Blockbuster’s online service, is this true? I’m thinking about signing up for one, but not sure which, which is better??

790 says:

What blows me away with “House” is Laurey is a Brit! He pulls off the American accent flawlessly.

Ken, the Sniper Pistol was only in the first Halo, after that they dumbed it down so much that it would have been more effective to throw at someone…
They finally found a good balance in ODST. The pistol is powerful but in a 40SW way.
Also I love “Far Cry” but FC2 had error problems and I had to abandon the game/disc as it wouldn’t load toward the later part of the game. No scratches just cheap encoding. The bigger the explosion I died on the larger the corruption. Never saw that in any other game before FC2.

“The campaign on one disc and the Halo 3 multiplayer experience on the other”

So if you want to play those maps you don’t have to have them hard drived?

That’s a plus.

790 says:

Yep, Old Man !!! Its great!!!

I’m almost through the ODST campaign on Heroic. I stopped myself tonight on the last level.
The stand alone game is real good better then say “Gears of War2″.
Its going to be tough to beat on Legendary. That’s where I’m headed next. One thing that sucked is that I haven’t found any skulls yet. I’m wondering if they’ve gone back to only having the skulls on Legendary setting?
Other then that the game kicks ass.

Hey gang, I made some subtle mods to the home page today in hopes of making it a bit more readable. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Everything looks good Vic, the site loads fast and cover the spectrum,,,!!!
;-)

the old man says:

@790: Is it possible to make a film of your last level?

790 says:

Sure you could get a good film out of the ODST game/story alone…

Joshi says:

@790

Laurie did a good enough accent to fool Brian Singer when he first auditioned. I believe Brian said his exact words, after seeing his audition tape was “That’s exactly the kind of American actor we need for this role.”

Seriously though, more people in the US need to see his silly comic side, go find some Youtube clips of him on “A Bit of Fry and Laurie” or “Blackadder”.

Hey gang,

Since a lot of SR “regulars” hang out in this thread, I wanted to let you know that I’ve changed the text link ads to be less obtrusive. They’re now the same color as text and double underlined so that:

A. It should make articles easier to read.

B. It will be more obvious those aren’t “regular” links.

In addition to that, I’ve made REAL links in articles the traditional blue color. So be aware that now you CAN click on the blue links because those are valid links to other items on the site.

I hope you guys like the changes… I don’t know if you’ve noticed but we have fewer ad spaces on the site now as well. I try to balance site needs with a good visitor experience wherever I can.

Best regards,

Vic

M-Cat says:

Thx Vic. You’re the man even if you do put me on time-out every now and then.

790 says:

Just saw Pandorum, it was pretty good.

Andy S says:

I noticed the changes Vic. I’m glad you made them. The double underline makes it ALOT easier to know which words to avoid with my mouse. LOL.

I finally watched Flash Forward last night. I really liked it and I am looking forward to future episodes. The beginning was very cool, although alot of the CGI was rather obvious and poorly done, IMO. It was cool seeing the new Sulu in something other than Star Trek.

Tonight I will be watching the premiere of Smallville.

M-Cat says:

Vic

is anyone going to review Surrogates?

790 says:

M-Cat the movie to see this weekend is “Pandorum”. One of the best sci fi films this year.

@M-Cat

I’m in the middle of writing it.

@790

You’re not going to be happy with Kofi’s review of Pandorum, which will be up soon.

Gary says:

I finished the sequel to the Da Vinci Code,
The Lost Symbol.
The story takes place entirely in in a major American city
So, there is no travel to Europeann cities .
The key to the success of the film franchise has been worldwide box office.
So, keeping it in one locale could hurt the film.
We shall see.
