I have continued to watch Smallville through all the ups and downs of the show because it is connected to Superman. I don’t know if I am a glutton for punishment, or if I know that it is worth it for the episodes that really do nail it.
Smallvill e is far from perfect ,
But i would rather watch Smallville then Heroes.
I haven’t actually watched on episode of Heroes yet this year. I have them DVRerd but can take the leap. On the other hand I am watching Smallville. I guess I have chosen who I will stand with.
Damn… just watched “Trade” starring Kevin Kline. As the father of a 12 yo daughter that was a HARD movie to watch – but I think it’s a MUST SEE movie.

I don’t know why Marvel cxannot do a spidey-iron man team up. After all, it would be cool to see an iron spider-man suit. I just can’t get over as to how Thor is being used on screen, as he is almost like superman, but better.I mean, a half-god in the avengers who are mostly human. And Iron-man has a very realistic feel, where as the rest of the avengers do not. But who knows, it may work, but I still have issues about it working on the big screen, I just rather see Iron – man 2,3 ,4,5 , etc..
Really Vic? Trade? I thought that movie was pretty unanimously panned by critics. I think it got a pretty low score on Rotten Tomatoes. Now obviously you can’t go 100% by critics, but usually when the percentage is in any extreme, like 20% or lower, it says something. I don’t remember the percentage now, and my work network blocks that site so I can’t check until I get home, but I do remember it getting a pretty low percentage. Most critics hated it for some reason. Care to give a mini-review of it? I was interested from the commercials. But chose not to watch it when it seemed that almost every critic hated it…

Marvel cannot do a spidey/Ironman team up because they do not own the rights to Spiderman. Although that would be cool, I dont know if I’d want to see an Iron Spider suit. It worked for comics, and it might work for maybe spiderman 10, waaayyyy down the road. Now if Marvel owned Spidey, they could throw him into the Avengers somehow.
It doesnt matter what they end up doing to the avengers, that will be my dream realized. A multi Superhero flick starring my 2nd favorite hero (Iron Man) The Avengers will cause some serious nerd-gasms
Whoops, didn’t know that Marvel doesn’t own the rights to Spidey. Anyway, the avengers film better be done by one hell of a good director with a script that doesn’t suck(Ghost Rider anyone?).

Maybe most critics don’t have daughters in the age range of the film nor do they get fired up at the reality of the situation it portrays.

Don’t forget about Daredevil and Elektra. The most important of the two is a good script. Great director doesnt mean a thing if the script sucks. I offer Ang Lee’s version of the Hulk as evidence. Ang Lee is a great director, but that movie stunk.
Im pretty sure Marvel has already worked with the director of the Avengers and he has proven himself to be a fantastic summer blockbuster director. Yes, thats right, I think Favreau will direct it. He mentioned it before. Even though marvel did try to lowball him for IM2, I think IM2 will make enough money for marvel to have no choice but to make Jon the director of the flick
What does everyone think of Don Cheadle taking the place of Terrance Howard in the next Iron Man?
I went to the IMDB to look up Trade.

I’m a little disappointed about the Cheadle thing. I think he’s a good actor, it’s just now that I’ve seen Howard as Rhodes… He just had a great screen presence and a fantastic repore with RDJ. They seemed like real friends. Plus, from what I’ve seen of Cheadle, he’s gonna have to bulk up big time. But all in all I’ll still go see it. I’m kinda scared that the change will somehow reduce the amount of screen time for War Machine. But a good script could absolutely make up for this.
