Open Discussion – September 1, 2010
Sep 1, 2010 by Vic HoltremanIt’s Wednesday again, time for our regularly scheduled open discussion post.
As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice.
Around the web:

Yeah I know.
I loved the 3rd act. Non stop resolution and redemption.
(Avatar)
Great film!
Cameron, kinda a s bag, but were stuck with him. Lol,,
Virtual beer heading your way Ant’s!
sweet ty dude. i’llwatch it a couple more times, as far as buying, dunno…
I saw three episodes of Over there hated it. The show really just didn’t work for me.
What was the prob, Daniel??
Anthony you liked Avatar? I’m so dissapointed in you! Lol I hated Avatar and the story was the absolute worst part it was an awful story that’s been told more than 20 times every decade. I didn’t like Pohcohantas or The New World liked Avatar even less.
daniel…i didnt think i would like it at all, which is why i avoided i for this long..i surprised myself trust me lol
790 I didn’t really like the camera work or style it was shot in. My biggest complaint would be the acting the best actors on the show are ok but most were pretty bad especially guest stars. It was also in parts very unrealistic. Also the characters were all little to much like the writers were like “what else could we add to pull on heart strings. ” I mean every character is a complete clitche with a dose of more clitche. The stories were also kind of bleh in general.
Thanks for your over view Daniel.
I’ve already got the series so eventually I’ll keep you posted when I check it out.
One thing I’ll say that’s funny about the show 790 is that it is very violent and graphic which offended a lot of people (not me) however it desperately tried so hard to not offended anyone by avoiding taking sides. It tried way to hard to not take a stance on the war which is the only thing I liked. Some people didn’t like it’s middle of the road stance though. Personally I hate being preached at so it was the only decent thing.
im on the other open thread now LOL, vic seems to be tightning the nuts and bolts here go check out the rules guys
@ Anthony
I agree with ya about Avatar. I regret not seeing it in theaters as it turned out to be better than i thought. Especially when things got rollin through half of the movie. Like you said Stephen Lang was awesome in his role and kinda hope he returns in the 2nd film as he said in a interview, Aslong as they have his DNA, they havnt seen the last of him. Somthing like that. I liked Michelle Rodriguez aswell, too bad what happend to her though, i prefer she atleast live for the sequel but oh well. Can’t wait to see her in Machete, whenever i have time to go.
I got a question regarding Predators. I saw a picture of Danny Trejo’s character with two girls in bikinis at his side with a Predator coming outta the swimming pool. Is that a deleted scene, or somthing else?
I didnt Like Avatar But Cameron is writing a prequel novel And I am interested in that.
I am hoping that it will flesh out the chracters and storyline in ways the movie did not.
