As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice.

I read that China White (Kelly Hu) has signed on for more episodes of Arrow. So it looks like we’ll see her again. Very cool!
When will the Cloud Atlas review be up? I cant wait for it
Most unlikely person……
Saw a picture of the stage actor that portrays Spiderman on the stage.
He was wearing the costume with no mask.
Best looking Spiderman ever.
Does anyone know if he was ever approached to do the film?
Another round of best/worst at work today:
What are your favorite and least favorite Tom Cruise films?
Favorite(s): “Interview with the Vampire”, “Mission: Impossible” 1 & 4
Least favorite: “Days of Thunder”
Favorite would be Minority Report, Least Eyes Wide Shut.
Favorite: Tie between Collateral and The Last Samurai.
Least: Jerry McGuire. Loathe the relationship side plot.
Valkyrie and ‘Knight and Day’ were both good too.
Favourite: The Last Samurai
Least: Days of Chunder, (I mean thunder!!), Jerry McGuire
You didn’t like Days Of Thunder?
I don’t watch movies with scientologists if I can avoid it. Especially d***head Cruise films.
Tom who?
Tom d***head Cruise… you know, the guy from those Mission Impossible movies… the one who kidnapped, er, I mean married Katie Holmes?
Now why her family never staged an intervention I’ll never know!
If I would stop watching movies with actors who are part of one cult or another I would have to stop watching movies altogether.
Top gun favorite, rock of ages worse.
My favorite would be Mission Impossible 4 and Tropic Thunder is one of my favorite comedies (although, he didn’t exactly “star” in that movie).
I guess my least favorite would be ‘Knight and Day’ (bearing in mind, I’ve only seen about 4 movies starring Tom Cruise).
What rock do you live under?
A ‘rock of ages’ of course!
@Pedrosaurus
Well played my friend.
Risky Business is one of THE best teen age situation movies ever.
I will pass on a worst because there are more than one
@ $2
Favorite Tom Cruise films
1. Cocktail
2. Top Gun
3. A few Good Men
Least favorite
1. Jerry Maguire
2. Valkyrie
3. Mission Impossible 3
I was looking at that “Wreck-It Ralph” character guide article, and it occurred to me that a “Candyland” movie could easily be made and probably at least be visually impressive. I’m NOT saying one SHOULD be made, however.
Oh I think they are making a Candyland movie and I believe Adam Sandler is attached to it if I am not mistaken
Ah, so it really WILL be garbage. Sigh…
Yeah probably it is a shame that most of Adam Sandler’s recent work all stinks because he was pretty good back in his hay day back in the late 90s and early 2000s
Yeah…and the truly sad thing for me is that I’ve actually enjoyed a couple of Sandler’s films that aren’t even comedies or “family-friendly” (“Spanglish”, I thought, was a wonderful, underappreciated film), so I KNOW he has range. If he can avoid the stupid toilet humor and not be an obnoxious jackass in this, maybe it could be an enjoyable (if unnecessary) movie.
Here’s hoping…
Here’s hoping and yeah he does have range I saw Reign Over Me I actually enjoyed that film I haven’t seen Spanglish but I might try it out.
Reign Over Me is fantastic, one of my favorite movies.
I hope he doesn’t play every character.
Some people just dont know when to keep their mouths shut.

Has anybody heard about this new film starring Patrick Wilson and Liv Tyler? Its called Space Station 76 it sound interesting and I like the story of how it all came together.

Any one remember the Image comic Wildcats? I think it may have been an acronym
You mean Jim Lee’s X-Men rip off. The full name was Wild Covert Action Teams. I never read it, I was more into Sam Kieth’s The Maxx and Spawn when Greg Capullo joined as artist.
Yes it was pretty much that. I only recall as a tween having a crossover of them and Spawn. Then I think they tired to make it into a Saturday morning cartoon for a shot bit.
Saw Flight with Denzel Washington in an advanced screening, it’s excellent, definitely check it out once it hits theaters. I would give a review, but the trailer did pretty well in not revealing too much about the central theme of the movie that I don’t want to ruin it. It’s a long movie, so take your pee break before-hand, but other than that, it’s well worth the movie ticket.
Cool. nice to know Ken. ill be seeing it next weekend.
Might be worth writing a brief article to discuss CN’s decision to pull both Green Lantern The Animated Series AND Young Justice:Invasion from their line up until January due to their claim of “low ratings”. This was a mere 2 weeks into BOTH shows new fall seasons.
They are instead replacing those shows with the somewhat lame “How to Train Your Dragon” reruns? I guess I don’t see the logic in replacing something that is supposedly under performing with re-reuns of a WORSE show. Logic completely escapes on this one.
Damn, I hadn’t heard about that.
I’m not a fan of Green Lantern TAS, but Young Justice is great.
Has anyone outside of Marvel Studios actually seen Mark Bailey’s Black Panther script? Is it worth a damn or what?
Who knows man, who knows…
I think they hired Bailey in 2009 (or 2010) and seeing as Wright’s been working on the Ant-Man script since 2006 I believe, it could be a while before we actually see progress on Black Panther
Speaking of Bests, what is your favourite Denzel Washington film?
He’s really done some incredible work in his career:
Favourite performances:
Malcolm X
Glory
Philadelphia
Courage Under Fire
Devil In a Blue Dress
Cry Freedom
Crimson Tide
The Siege
The Bone Collector
Worst:
Virtuosity (this was just a very bad film)
As for Glory, don’t know how his nomination got categorised as ‘supporting actor’, quite frankly he was the lead and carried that film, the majority of the black roles were far more interesting than any of the white ones, not to make it about race but about the performances and the characters.
Probably one of Matthew Broderick’s worst performances, very dull.
Not a denzel fan. he basically plays the same hard see every movie. granted I like his films. my favorite is remember the titans or training day. and I dislike deja vu
@pedrosaurus
Give “Flight” a watch. You might have to add another movie to your “Favourite performances” list…
I’ve seen the trailer and it does look good.
Favorite: Man on Fire and Remember the Titans.
I have to share this.
Sitting in base, since we have a hurricane approaching. Get this call
I answer the phone….Coastguard Air Station Elizabeth City. How can I help you.
Young guy on phone : Me and some friends want to go surfing in the hurricane. What would happen if one of us gets lost, or drowns, will you guys come out and find and rescue us?
My Response: We are the United States Coastguar’d, saving idiots is what we will do, even if we think it is cleaning the gene pool out for future generation. But I advise you, DONT GO OUT! What is your name.
At this point the kid gives me his name, and I look up his information and confirm before I can respond.
“YOU WILL COME GET US MOTHER—KER or else, we will hunt you down and kill you and your family…DO NOT F WITH US….”
My response, and I gave him his full name and address and reported him to homeland security and they sent to agents to arrest him when he returns home, for making threats against a Coasguard Officer.
I want video of when he gets home!
Young people can be so stupid. It’s the reason why I generally assume the opposite of what most young people agree on is right… And It turns out to be the correct thing to do like 99% of the time…
