As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice.
Hey Vic, this is the pop up ad we were talking about the other day:
It´s back and annoying as ever…
I also get those in between comments as well its kinda weird lol
Scape you are using me in a picture…. I need royalties.
I was seeing a popup about DVD sets to include Silence of the Lambs the otehr day but none today.
Ditto. None today for me as well.
It popped up for me a short while ago, today.
If it appears, it should now be appearing only ONCE per day.
Gotta pay the bills, boys. You know I’ve always tried to balance advertising with user experience – on this sort of ad at least I try to keep it movie-related.
And Scape, aren’t you in Germany? I wouldn’t think these would be popping up for you – they should only be for U.S. visitors AFAIK.
Hey Vic, I don’t think the complaint is about having an Ad. I think it’s the type of ad (being a pop up). That being said, I haven’t seen it since Monday so I’m good. Great site and keep up the excellent work.
Yeah the day I was getting it was on each page I visited.
I click every once in awhile….
No prob Vic, just an observance. Like Aknot I give clicks every now and then to help you out.
Yeah, we germans like us some horror flicks. And I wasn´t so much complaining about the ad itself, but about it popping up every time I read a different article. But now it´s gone…
So, I saw Green Lantern this weekend. It was not the smoking pile that people claimed it was. It could have been better, sure. But it was pretty decent. At least for streaming HD.
And Blake Lively is HAWT! Wow!
I was going to say the same thing… I saw it in theaters, and yes it had it’s flaws… But I watched it on Sunday and guess what? My eyes didn’t burn, I didn’t die or I didn’t come down with a random illness from watching it. It’s not bad…
My roommate bought it and i also saw it and it was really not that bad, and yes Blake Lively was definately HOTTTT.
Agree with all that’s been said. Lol
OK, so I bought the “Extended” version of Fast Five and it has 1 minute of extended footage … laughable. I wanted the movie anyway but I thought i would let you peeps know the scoop.
did those 60 seconds totally revolutionize the movie?
I know what you mean. I didn’t buy it but I watched it at a friends house and wondered where the deleted scenes were; and I still don’t know. Could you clue me in on where the deleted scene was?
I haven’t watch the Blu-ray yet, but when I do, and if I notice, I’ll let you fellas know.
The only added footage to the extended edition of fast five are during the train sequence certain scenes are extended just a bit not very noticable but they are there.
I also just saw The Beaver, it was surprisingly good. I thought that Mel Ginson did a good job and man that Jennifer Lawrence is quite the looker.
Just my two cents.
I know I’ve posted this in the previous open discussion, but it’s just so awesome, I had to make sure everyone read this:
Does anyone fine the idea of new characters in a Avengers 2 a little odd? You have 5 movies that set-up the Avengers as character introductions and then you introduce new characters in Avengers 2 with no set-up film..Why? How many of the original Avengers from the first film will be returning? I know some characters need to be introduced but do we really need a whole new line-up for the second film?
If they go with some new characters I would like to see
but I would also like to see the core return:
I think if new characters are introduced because they serve a distinct purpose, i.e. Black Panther because of the need for virbanium, then it could be good. But if they throw in new characters just to throw them in, XMEN LAST STAND *cough* Cough*, then it will fail.
I still think that Hank and Janet are going to make a cameo appearance. And when Pym is in the next movie, Ultron can´t be far behind.
No one said they AREN’T doing solo-films for the new members: the Ant-Man movie is still in works, they have hired writers for the Black Panther, Dr.Strange etc.
Marvel’s main problem is that they don’t have enough TIME to do all of these movies (releasing 2 movies a year just won’t cut it IMO)
No one said they won’t be making standalone films for the new Avengers members: the Ant-Man movie is still (kinda) in the works, and Marvel has hired writers for Black Panther, Dr.Strange, Heroes For Hire, etc. movies.
The main problem is, Marvel Studios doesn’t have enough TIME to produce all of these movies and they would need to serious expand the company if they were to increase their movie-slots from 2 to maybe 3 or 4 (per year).
@Screenrant: TheAvenger here. For some reason, I can’t post comments using my old e-mail address… I haven’t been banned have I?
No. For some reason your last half dozen comments got flagged as spam by the system.
Oh… well thanks Vic.
Everything seems to working now…
Sorry for all the inconvenience.
Thats because you’re posting too much man, slow down.
For some reason… my comments don’t show up!
I just heard breaking news that Jason Statham will be starring in the Hobbit films for no other reason than they will be shooting back-to-back..
Lmao that would be awesome tho

I want to see Number 1 made.
Playing Fallout 3 quite frequently lately.
Makes me think of how bad i need a new Mad Max movie….
Jeesh! I almost forgot!
Are they coming out with a new Power Rangers movie or something?
My Orioles were never in it, so I don’t care. I seem to not care every year.
So what do you guys think about the possibility of the first 8 minutes of TDKR being attached to the IMAX version of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
I was planning on seeing MI4 anyway, so this is just icing on the cake.
Any of you guys avoid previews or trailers? If there’s a movie I want to see, I try my best to avoid its previews/trailers. (I’m not perfect and sometimes can’t resist.) My point is that I’d like for the entire movie to be fresh and new on my first viewing. If I watch a trailer with a huge explosion, when I watch the film, I’ll keep wondering where the explosion will happen, and it sometimes kills the surprise element. With TDKR, I’ve tried to avoid everything. If the first eight minutes is being released with MI:GP, that’s great, but I’d rather wait until I can watch the entire film in one viewing.
Any thoughts about independent film makers and crowdfunding?
The reason why I’m asking is because I saw this pilot on Facebook, and apparently the whole thing is based on crowdfunding. How much does it take to actually get through with a thing like that?
Are the characters the same
