Pictures... hm... you make a compelling argument... :-P

Hey, do I look like Bush to you? I don't mind reading!! :-D

The first lady Laura Bush made a pretty funny statement one time in a speech. She was saying how she was a librarian and spent all her time in the library, and she always wondered how she managed to meet George. LOL!! :-D Oh when you can make jokes like that you know you got a good marriage... And looking at their daughters... I don't care what all the haters say, they got good genes... WOWZA!!

Yeah its a gorilla documentary. Meaning (Unconventional) not about apes. ;-)

The title of the film IS called
(This Film Is Not Yet Rated).
It did have a rating when it came out, and that was NC_17.

Come on Ken, check it out. You can even leave a hate comment or three. 8-)
There's even pictures if you don't want to read it...

I'll wait until the movie is rated... :-D What is it though, like a documentary about the MPAA?

@Ken
No prob. We can't see eye-to-eye on everything; if we did, what kind of a world would we have?

Resistance is futile!

My point exactly. 8-)

Eh, it wasn't at all a "bad" movie, I thought it was quite good, but it simply didn't impress me or make much of an impression on me. I don't regret watching it, but probably would not watch it again. That's just my opinion though, a lot of people loved the movie, I just don't see it.

@Ken
But did you like Gladiator? I enjoyed it immensely even though I know it wasn't completely accurate; it's the same for "The Ten Commandments", possibkly my all-time favorite movie but definately not accurate.

Gladiator had a pretty inaccurate representation of Rome. The HBO tv series Rome did it much better in my opinion. You definitely need to see that, one of the best tv series ever made in my opinion.

Most interesting... similar list on this end.

I really liked Quigley Down Under.
Never really took to the Bond films.
I don't think I've ever seen In the Heat of the Night.
I didn't mind the newest Godzilla flick... but I have a Godzilla addiction, so it's not my fault.

I really enjoyed Gladiator. It was during a challenging time in my life and it was "soothing" at times, to watch it over and over.

Are you asking what kind of movies I like or to list the movies I like?

Well, I guess I can try to answer both. I mainly like action movies and some dramas depending on the topic matter.

I guess some of my favorite movies would be Terminator 2, Aliens, Clear and Present Danger, The Terminator, Die Hard, Narc, Dragonheart, Batman Begins, Heat, um, I don't know, I guess I'm missing the few westerns I like, Tombstone, 3:10 to Yuma, Quigley Down Under... What else... With the Bond movies I'll have to say Goldeneye and Casino Royale are my two favorites. The first 3 Indiana Jones, the old Star Wars trilogy, and I would say in addition to Die Hard, all of its sequels too but 2 was pretty dumb, so I think just Die Hard 3 and Live Free or Die Hard would make it on the list. In the Heat of the Night was pretty good too, just saw that recently, I know, I'm about 40 years late... I could try to sound "movie smart" and say the typical Citizen Cane, or Some Like it Hot, but to be honest, haven't seen either one of those, lol. Oh, I really enjoyed True Lies and the director's cut of The Abyss, the theatrical release made little sense at the end and was pretty dumb. And I guess recently there was Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk I liked, The Dark Knight (although I swear if I hear any more fuss over it, it might suffer the same fate as Pirates of the Carribean for me...)

Anyway, I'm sure there are a lot more that I liked, but that's what I can quickly think of off the top of my head.

I just saw it the other day, and I must say, Richard Dreyfuss' character REALLY annoyed me. His wife was VERY understanding considering his behavior IMO. She didn't fuss at him when he dragged the entire family out to the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, she then even apologizes to him after they had a fight when he was acting all crazy. Of course he reacts by acting even more crazy... Then he gets all romantic with another woman. I don't know, people acting irrationally annoy me. And if I'm annoyed at the main character, it's hard for me to appreciate the movie. But it was still entertaining.

Just watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind there for the first time in years and loved it!
It's brilliant to watch these classic movies from 30 odd years ago before effects went digital and see craftsmen at work...the effects are still lovely to watch.I was lucky to meet Ray Harryhousen a couple of years ago when he done a talk here in Glasgow,saw some of the models from his movies up close!This man done all these effects by hand for Gods sake!
I think the more effects become digital,the more these older movies become beautiful and special!!!

Vic nailed it on the head for me too.

In my youth, I loved Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot. I recently got a chance to watch it.

Man, that was painful.

@blipvert

I have found that most TV shows that I enjoyed when I was much younger are best left in my memories. Inevitably I'm disappointed when I try to re-watch them today.

There are a few exceptions of course: Classic Star Trek, I Love Lucy and The Twilight Zone are a few that come to mind that for me stand the test of time.
