    • Ahhh … gratuitous self-promotion … AWESOME!

BTW read the article and good job. :)

I’m not sure how Vic will react, however.

    • Someone else posted an article on another thread the other day. I don´t think Vic has a problem with that.

      • Guys,

I don’t have a problem with a link here and there from regular SR readers. When I get torqued is with some new arrivals who have a link in EVERY comment – like it’s an email sig.

        • I remember Kofi telling DSB off because he posted a link to one of his articles on a different site. I quote: “Stop promoting your own stuff on our page!”

That´s why DSB asked if you´re ok with it.

  1. Got a question (or two or three) for my fellow ranters.

1st off… has anyone ever noticed on the DVD version of “The Three Amigos”… the screen kinda… I dunno bounces up and down? If you don’t know what I am talking about put it in and look at the scene where they are gathered around the camp fire. (the one where they sing Ned to sleep) That is where it is most noticeable. If you haven’t noticed it… I am sorry for ruining it for you. I can’t stand to watch it anymore. lol Both my and my brother’s copy have behaved the same way and on different DVD players.

My follow up questions then are these. Does anyone own it on Blu-Ray? and if so does it fix this problem?

Also… (much like Cartman) I have been looking for a way to be cryogenically frozen and woken up right at the start of the summer comic book movie season. Anyone looked into this yet? lol

    • Raven … I have the DVD of three amigos and we just watched it a couple of months ago and I didn’t notice any bouncing or anything wrong with the movie. I don’t have it on Blu-ray though. Also, if you would have asked sooner I could have helped you out on the last question, but all of my Cryptopods™ are currently full.

  2. Just realized there’s approximately 12 movies being released (or re-released) in 3D next year: Underworld Awakening 3D, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Top Gun 3D, Titanic 3D, Star Wars I 3D, Beauty and the Beast 3D, The Amazing Spider-man, The Avengers, Prometheus, Resident Evil: Retribution, Step Up 4, and The Hobbit. Rediculous considering the attendace for 3D films has gone down alot. I’m sure there’s some I missed too.

    • And I will be seeing none of them in 3D.

      • Same here ink. I will be seeing mi4 in IMAX for the dark knight rises prologue. :)

        • I will also be watching MI4 in IMAX for the prologue of the dark knight rises :)

          • And ya know what mi4 doesn’t look tht bad at all anyways. Three was great. Hopefully this one tops it.

    • There’s a few that’d I’d definirtaly watch in 3D.

  3. Update on Pop ups – I havent gotten one in a week or two. Not even the “once-daily” advertisement.

Just mentioning it because I dont mind the “once-daily ad” and the owners of the site might want to know.

    (Chrome stable, version 15.0.874.121 m
default, no extensions or ad killers.)

    • vanguard,

Always appreciate feedback. We rarely run those types of ads and aren’t running any now. The only out of the ordinary ads we have right now is the home page takeover for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

  4. I had an idea. A Kevin Smith written/directed Deadpool movie with Jason Mewes as Wade Wilson. Anyone else think that would work?

    • I only know him as Jay & Silent Bob, so i couldnt say. I do hope they have him breaking the 4th wall & maybe a scene where he is watching Wolverine Origins on TV and says something like “here is where they got it all wrong” destroys the TV “better. much better”

      • I´ve read the Deadpool script from a few years ago that featured Colossus. It was really good, except the fact that it had Colossus in it.

      • Kevin Smith is a fan of comics, would definitely break the 4th wall, and writes excellent dialogue. Jason Mewes has a mouth and isn’t a Hollywood pretty-boy, so the mask would stay on. I thought it was a good match. Now if anyone knows a studio executive, get the ball rolling on this.

    • I’m down.

  5. Question. What movie would you like to see a sequel to or continuation in series?

Definately would go with 8Mile. With Eminem character now a succesful rapper and dealing with even more stresses thaat he thought would dissapate with success.

    • The Last Starfighter

    • I’ve always wanted to see a sequel to 1984’s Dreamscape with Dennis Quaid and Kate Capshaw, but I don’t think a sequel would fair well after twenty-seven years. Also, with the financial success of Inception, would another movie about dreams work? A reboot/remake, maybe?

    • Like foopher, the Last Starfighter. But I would have like a sequel to a movie most people didn’t seem to like, The Planet of the Apes (Walhberg version); I wanted to know how all the changes to history came about.

    • I always wanted to see how the world changed after ID4.

    • I always wanted a sequel to Spaceballs. I thought maybe after Lucas’s prequels, we’d see the origin story of Lord Helmet and Yogurt.

    • Serenity….

  6. Just watched warrior and I gotta say it was a really good movie, its sad to say movies like this are rare with all the reboots/remakes that hollywood has been focusing on, we need fresh material original creative movies that will make us want to go to the theater, I saw the trailer for a movie called darkest hour and I was like really it reminded me of skyline.

  7. Hey does anyone know when in 2012 the collectors edition of the Harry potter movies comes out on blu ray. I have them all on DVD except for the deathly Hallows one and two but I’m waiting for the ultimate set of all of th and I know it comes out next year. Just wondering if anyone knows when?

  8. I would like someone to do masters of the universe again. That film is one of my guilty pleasures

    • There were plans to do a proper adaption of MOTU. But I haven´t heard of it in a while…

  9. If done right it could be a brilliant film. Not sure you could top Frank Langellas Skeletor though. He gave me nightmares when I was a kid.
    Good journey

  10. @drsam very much enjoyed your article btw. Think I will have to get the Bond collection out again to rejudge all the actors myself!

  11. I would like to see another Back to the Future sequel. Like how Doc Brown got the train to become a time machine.

  12. Conan the King with Arnie. And old arnie would suit the role, his experience as a govinator may help his acting.

    • That is another one I would enjoy.

  13. I’m sure I am not alone for wondering when we are going to see proper full length trailers for both The Avengers & The Amazing Spider-Man. We still have not seen The Hulk in full yet..just a flash in the last small trailer. Spider-Man I am scared about – and I so want this to be good and be the dark horse of the superhero movies coming out next year.
Like Spider-Man 3 – we sat wondering what Venom would be like & starting to believe they were really going to give us a killer of a movie….instead we got a bit of a shambles.

    • Yeah, but remember, The Avengers and TAS are still more than half a year away… I think we’ll see a “proper” Avengers and TAS trailer in January (or late December).

Personally, I don’t want to see too much footage of the Hulk yet (I think they should save it all for the actual movie — it’s going to be INCREDIBLY awesome).
And while I’m VERY nervous about TAS (as I’ve said before), I’m still hoping it does well (and if it fails, hopefully the rights could revert back to Marvel SOON!).
