Yah, what Summer Glau lacks in acting ability she more than makes up for in cuteness. :-D

The uncle's name is Derek. Not a bad looking actor for the part, kind of reminds me of Adam Baldwin. Which, coincidentally, was in Firefly/Serenity with Summer Glau, lol.

Looks like a great group with some wonderful opinions here. I've been lurking for the last 6 months and recently started posting on some of the articles but never even glanced at the open discussions. It seems as though I've been missing out. Guess I'll put in a few words.

On the Shield:
This has been, long running, one of my favorite series. It seems as Vic gets in deeper and deeper and is just about to trip over his lies (which is almost weekly), I love him more and more. I was aghast at Shane's outcome with his family. It had me in knots for days afterwards. He was a character that I truly got involved with and I know that's all thanks to Walton. I have to agree with the above comment that Vic probably couldn't be in a worse "sentence" than being chained to a desk for 3 years. But seeing that glimmer in his eye as he reached in and produced his pistol from his desk made me wonder if he'd actually be there for the full sentence. I also agree that Ronnie was easy to get past, but I also felt that betrayal he must have felt (and should have seen coming) when they drug him off for life in prison. I truly miss Lem, but he was a necessary sacrifice for the good of the last two seasons. And as for Claudette and Dutch... Well, Claudette needs to call it a day and be done with this whole thing and Dutch needs to take some voluntary time in a local sanitarium, because I can see that coming back to haunt him very soon. I was a little confused where the storyline of he and the boy left off. And nothing funnier than Billings. Perfect character.

on Sons of Anarchy:
I'm a biker, so I'm naturally drawn to a drama like this. The over-the-top feel this one has is just enough for me to enjoy it, but still remember that it's just a story. Yes, it is a Sopranos for a biker gang, but the Sopranos had a little more going for it. Did a better job with character development. But all in all, the ending was wonderful (as was the version of John the Revelator) and I'm eager to see where they take it next season. Maybe it'll really take off then.

on Terminator:
the first season lost me. I gave up a few episodes from the end and picked it up again this season, for reasons which are beyond me. While this season seems to be a little more scattered in it's overall tie in to the bigger story, I seemed to always come back and watch each episode. And I really don't know why. None of the characters were all that compelling. I was intrigued by John's uncle (whose name escapes me). I don't know if the character was good or it was just the actor's portrayal. I could care less about Cameron (and I agree with every comment above about her doing her job naked). John seemed to shape up near the end and is coming into his own.

I think i'm starting to feel somewhat blah about a lot of shows this season when i was pretty gung-ho about them in september. I'm still enjoying the Mentalist, Fringe and Life, but my DVR isn't nearly as busy as it used to be.

thanks for the space to rant. :D

Yes Man DOES look very similar to Liar Liar, however I'm looking forward to seeing Jim Carrey actually do comedy again for a change. :-)

Anyone seen those dumb ads for that Jim Carey movie Yes Man? Is that like the sequel to Liar Liar or what? Because it's the exact same story...

This guy talks about a photo of his that made it into the film Iron Man on his blog:

The funniest thing I got from it was the part where he talks about his Macbook dying on him during a Microsoft conference. LMAO!!

Need Help!

I'm trying to remember the title and website of a fan film that was made around 2005? And it was a black and white short film about an older Superman. While watching you don't know it's about him, and I remember it being about how he stopped being Superman and a relative (son/nephew/grandson) of Batman was trying to hunt him down. Essentially trying to convince him to come out of retirement. I just remember it was so well thought out, and very well made. Probably the most thoughtful and intriguing take on the character.

Any help is appreciated. I figured someone on this site or one of the fellow posters might know the answer. Again I appreciate any help. I hope it was okay to post this here.

Well said Nowhereman

Happy Thanksgiving everyone here. From all the writers here to the fans who leave all the great comments, have a happy holiday.

There really has been a lot to be thankful for this past year, especially in the theater. The movie I'm most thankful for has been "The Dark Knight."

Enjoy today everyone!

@Ken J
I think the thing that is really making mad this season is the charactor devlopment for each charactor (John is excluded, as we are actually seeing John Conor take shape into the future Military Leader).
And i would tell Cameron the same thing, but no clothes anywhere. She must be naked all the time.

Okayyyyyy-

Seeing as our fine host Mr. H has invited us to freely post as we will this fine week, I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the holiday by sharing a few thoughts about why there are plenty of reasons, even in these turbulent times, to be truly thankful…

In no particular order, yours truly is thankful for:

The small miracles that occur daily, and eventually form the life I am so grateful to have.

The sense of sight, that something might catch my eye and draw a tear of wonder.

The arm around my shoulder that always seems to show up when I really need it.

That someone once told me that stars are simply holes on the floor of heaven.

The stranger who makes me smile, because they smiled first.

The glory of music, the truly universal language.

The opportunity to express, create, and share my thoughts, and to hear those of others.

And for friends, family, and loved ones, without whom I would be lost.

Thank you ScreenRant, for being one of the good things in my silly little life.

Here’s wishing all a happy and joyous holiday season-

A prosperous New Year-

And serenity always.

Oh, and Andy, thanks for pointing out the web trailer for Star Trek. I wasn't really a fan of the old Star Trek, or any of them really, but I am familiar with it, and it was kind of cool to see that he'll have a part in the film. Kind of like seeing the original Hulk in the Incredible Hulk movie. That was hilarious, he was the security guard. Now I was a fan of the tv show, I used to watch the reruns of it on Sci-Fi channel all the time, lol. I'm not old enough to have seen it back when it was new. I think it ran before or after Six Million Dollar Man, so I usually watched both of them.

Yah, this season of SCC is pretty dumb. Everyone seems to be making a whole lot of dumb decisions.

And I don't know about you guys, but if I was in John's position, I would tell Cameron that terminators are not allowed to wear clothes in my house...

I agree about Terminator,

the Terminators don't feel at all like the Terminator units from the first two films.

@Ash Ali

Those could very well BOTH be corriders on the Enterprise. I've read that different levels of the ship have completely different looks - with things getting more "industrial" as you go deeper into the engineering sections.

Did anyone notice that the image they showed us when the Star Trek movie site launched earlier this year featured a different from what they've shown in the trailer...

From this:

I just remember reading an article somewhere that they were heavily influenced by the look of the Enterprise (Tv show) bridge and were doing some sort of hybrid update between that and ST:TOS bridge.

I wonder why they changed the look?

@Lawrence
Thanks for the update on the Watchmen site.

@Metallicat79
Yeah, I thought this season got off to a great start but it does seem to be wandering a bit lately. And Ellison digging up Cromartie seemed REALLY dumb to me.

lol i hope it makes sense : ) it came straight from one of the writers. Here's the quote: "It was not Arthur’s intent to turn Hiro into a 10-year-old. Arthur was in the process of using the Haitian’s ability to mind-wipe all the things Hiro learned from his spirit walk in the “Villains” episode. But yes, he got distracted by that eclipse. Who knows what else he might have done Hiro and Ando didn’t get out when they did."
