  1. Anyone else hear of a Netflix/Walmart Class Action suit? Apparently WalMart and Netflix had some under the table deal with regards to selling new DVDs…

    • I got an email, haven’t read it yet. Yet another lawyer money grab where thousands of “plaintiffs” get $5 each and the law firm gets millions.

      • Yeah a coworker and I were talking and thought it would be funny if all but one person opted out and that person got a 20mil WalMart gift card….

  2. Morning Screenrant, Its almost 0700 here in Alaska and a balming 38 degrees below zero…gotta love it. Anyways I know I mentioned this in yesterdays Samurai Jack thread, but was’nt there a movie that was inspired by the Samurai Jack show that has been coming out for awhile now called “Cup of Tears”?

  3. I’ve been showing the Hunger Games trailer to my classes today, and many students are now interested in the books. Thanks for helping me with literacy, Hollywood!

  4. Ye I wasn’t interested in the hunger games till that trailer. Now I’ve bought the first book and I’m(slowly) reading it. I’d never heard of this series before the film so that is one good thing about adaptations

  5. Hey Screenrant guys:

Why aren’t you reviewing/recapping episodes of Dexter and Supernatural anymore…i used to love to read your reviews and to see what people had to say about the episode in the comments box

    • tasouli,

Take it up with our TV editor Anthony Ocasio.

  6. Wow must be a slow news day.

Are you enjoying the high winds?

  7. Twilight reviews have not been good; I have read only 1 positive review, and even that review doesn’t make it sound good.

    • That sounds as if you´re surprised…

      • :-D

    • I don’t get it.
I saw how horrible the reviews are, and yet the marketing was somehow able to find good reviews for the ads.

      • The good reviews were probably written by 13 year old fangirls.

  8. Haha I don’t think ‘twihards’ care about reviews. They just see Taylor lautners abs on a trailer and they’re already sold.

  9. Someone posted this in the other weekly discussion about uncharted movie. I’m excited to see such a mind blowing game adapted to the big screen yet nervous at the same time. Just one thing as long as Jenna Fischer plays Elena and Jensen ackles is drake. I’m in.

On other notes anyone hear te aka Jessica jones tv show is going to have references to the films cuz there writing it in the same universe. And I also read that stark and his company are in the pilot.
Forgot where I read it. I think comic bookmovie. Com but can’t be sure.

    • They mention Stark and his company in the pilot. I don´t think Downey will appear…

      • If they get another actor to play Stark in the pilot/show, then I’ll be ticked off (IMO, no one else can portray Stark the way Downey can)

But yeah, I agree, I’m pretty sure RDJ (a famous movie actor who makes a few million dollars each year), would appear in a pilot for a show that might even not go into full production — even if that show is produced by Marvel.

        • *Typo. I meant to say “I’m pretty sure RDJ WOULDN’T appear in a pilot…”

      • They WILL mention Stark and/or his company in the pilot. That´s what screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg said.

  10. So maybe I should be asking this on game rant but what’s the big deal with Uncharted? I mean why does everyone want to be made into a film so badly? Am I missing something here but its basically Indiana Jones in modern day times right? So would someone please clue me in. And remember I’m not trying to bash the game I’m just curious why everyone finds it so compelling to be made into a movie. Thanks for your responses.

    • I’m with you, the Hollywood people are out of ideas (probably gotten tired of reading book to get their ideas), so now they’re moving onto gaming (for some reason they must have thought the Prince Of Persia movie was good??? ;))… anyway:

The Uncharted games are pretty awesome though, but I don’t a movie adaption would work (reference to the previous open discussion).

    • By your comment I’m not quite sure if you have played it yet, but the game has a very cinematical story line to it already… So I think people for some reason just start wondering what it would be like with their fav actors/actresses, when this game is the last thing that needs to be made into a movie. Its a great game, but like I said it’s almost like a movie already…

  11. Cause we had to sit through a 4th indiana jones…. we want a retry with diffrent characters lol

  12. Everybody watch Community tonight. Then turn off NBC until the next time Community airs. With Thanksgiving next week, it might be two weeks before we can watch NBC again. That’ll learn ‘em.
