I know there were more villians I was just ranting on how they threw in so many villians that it made the story confusing and downright horrible. I would of been happier if they would have taken venom out of this movie and made him in another one since he personally is my favorite Spidey villian and he had virtually no story. I just did not like how they butchered the movie a bit.

You made the comment, "I thought spidey 3 was okay but the whole 'lets throw in every stinking villain we can find' was ridiculose!!! "

But they didn't throw in EVERY villain...as seen in this list, some made Venom downright cuddly:

1. Hypno-Hustler-
Only Appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #24 Powers: The Hypno-Hustler is a Black Soul Disco-singer who uses his goggles and evil boots of death to hypnotize music lovers, alongside his backup band, "The Mercy Killers."

2. Chtylok, the Che-k'n Kau-
First Appearance: Sensational Spider-Man #13 Powers: Twisty merger of cow and chicken, wearing leather pants.

3. Critical Mass-
First Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents #49 Powers: He's a bad retread of The Blob that shoots lasers out of his hands!

4. Spot-First Appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #98 Powers: The Spot is a man covered in spots who throws...spots; each of the spots is supposed to be a portable space warp that allows The Spot to sneak up on and defeat any adversary, while looking like the love-child of a Human & a Dalmatian.

5. Leapfrog-First Appearance: Daredevil #25. Powers: This is a middle-aged diabetic who created and wore a frog suit that allows him to jump the equivalent of six stories and the ability to swim quickly underwater but gives him limited mobility on land.

6. The Walrus-First Appearance: Defenders #131. Powers: After dodging one of the Walrus' punches, Spider-Man gloats about how fast he is. Walrus has one of the funniest responses ever: "Yeah, well - Don't underestimate ME, pal! For your information, I've got the proportionate speed, strength and agility of a WALRUS!" Of course, a walrus is bigger than a person, so his powers are being slower, weaker, and less agile than a fat sea cow.

7. Stegron the Dinosaur Man-First Appearance: Marvel Team-Up #19

Powers: Stegron combines the two worst things about Spider-Man villains.

a.) He's a scientist who MAKES A MISTAKE and becomes obsessed with Curt Connors' Lizard experiments, steals dinosaur DNA from the Savage Land, injects it into himself, and becomes a dinosaur man.
b.) He has the s-s-s-s-same problem with the letter "s-s-s-s" that Gollum from LOTR, Vermin and Lizard have, s-s-s-so s-s-s-speaking s-s-s-sibilant s-s-s-syllables-s-s-s really s-s-s-sucks-s-s-s.

8.  Vermin-First Appearance: Captain America #272

Powers: Vermin has mental control over small beasts, and has an enhanced sense of smell, causing some heroes like the Punisher to use him as an exaggerated bloodhound. S-s-s-see Entry # s-s-seven for the mos-s-st annoying thing this-s-s-s guy does-s-s-s.

Don't even get me STARTED on The Big Wheel (Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1, #182)

agreed but you never know considering they are doing a toy story 3 after who knows how many years! by the way Dan, I googled toy story 3 and im not sure what I think about the plot. Being dumped a daycare after Andy goes to collage. Obvisly everyone has aged a bit but im still in question in how this will turn out.

I thought spidey 3 was okay but the whole "lets throw in every stinking villain we can find" was ridiculose!!! I dont know as if they should do a reboot since they still think they are makeing money off of these movies and are makeing fans happy (I can be cosidered a very, very, very unhappy fan), but it needs a lot of work. The only question is what villian is left they didnt use in the third movie? lol!

@ Kel:

"I think they had made so much money on the other films that they knew 3 would do well at the BO no matter how it was so they didn’t work as hard on getting a good script."

So they gave us a script where B.O. stood not for "box office", but for "body odor", as it stunk worse than a hockey player that hadn't showered since Gretzky got married?

My thoughts exactly, what was up with that? Why weren't they all CG?

@Jess

Incredibles, IMO, was the best PIXAR film so far. Really captured everything great about superheroes, and I liked that it was about people (super people, sure, but you know what I mean). I'd still like to see a sequel, but I have a slight feeling that too many years have passed now for them to do it right.

Spidey 3 was an egregious disaster. I think they had made so much money on the other films that they knew 3 would do well at the BO no matter how it was so they didn't work as hard on getting a good script. Best thing for Spidey now, IMO, is to lay low for a while and then reboot.

Take out the preachiness (which I didn't like) and there are still the things you mentioned. It was like two movies smashed together into one. Another thing I've never heard explained to my satisfaction is why the "ancient" humans were portrayed by actual actors (the movie Wall-E watched, the president (Fred Willard) but the "present day" humans were CGI?

Why weren't ALL humans in the film portrayed as CGI?

I was disappointed with Wall-E in theatres. Good timing for me to check out this thread as I watched it for the 2nd time today (she hadn't seen it yet).

It's good but not great as so many said. The humans looked terrible and had no texturization at all...which didn't make sense from the look of Earth, Wall-E and the use of real human actors in some scenes.

I didn't think about the preachy parts at all when seeing it (many people bring up that as an issue). I just didn't think it was great because it had many weak or unexplained parts and as soon as the movie shifted to the Axiom, it went down hill.

I think ill wait for it to come on hbo lol!

@Kel

I wish they would do a 2nd one of the incredibles. I thought it was a great movie, something bold and different. Really enjoyed that movie but your right, the sequals are rarely good as the original. You can take Spidey 3 as an example.

LOL @ PhotoShopLifter

@Jess

It's cool. I didn't mind TS2 but sequels rarely are as good as the original film. I would, however, LOVE to see an Incredibles 2.

I'm also a HUGE fan of animation. Particularly the DC Comics animated shows. I'm enjoying the new Brave and Bold Batman show.

Hey, did anyone see the new South Park "Twillight" episode? It was great. :D The '08 election one was good too.

Well my point was that Wall•E's message (as you say) was in part to clean up and take care of the environment...

How are 4 dvd formats, (Full-Screen/ Widescreen / 3 disc deluxe with digital copy and BluRay ) helping the landfills and streams near the plants that make them???? :-O

Re: the millions of WALL-E DVDs littering the planet...most telling about that? There were no WALL-E sequel DVDs lying about! But seriously...Filmmakers self-referencing the current film is not new; I refer you to Spaceballs, where the evil forces found out our heroes' whereabouts by referring to/fast-forwarding through "Spaceballs: The Videocassette"...Sheriff Bart, The Waco Kid, and Hedley Lamarr going from the peaceful town of Rock Ridge to the Warner Bros. studio and then to the premiere of Blazing Saddles at Grauman's Chinese Theater.

@Gary
The reason it looked like a Message Picture is because it WAS a Message Picture...Message 1 being Clean up and care for the environment, and Message 2 being Get your keister out of the La-Z-Boy and exercise.

Also, regarding the Bond overview you suggested...you commented, "If you have already decided to do this be sure to give me FULL CREDIT for the idea!"

If he'd already decided to do this, why would he give you credit for the idea he came up with before you suggested it, mmmm??

@KEL
Actually, I thought the 1st half went like "_____ ______ ______________ __________ _____ ________ ____________ _________ _______ ___________________ ______ ________ _______ _______ __________ __________ _____ ______ __________ _____ ________ __________ _____ ____________ ___________ _____ _______ ________ _______ _______ ___________________ ______ _________ _________ ___Wa-a-A-l-eee!___ _E-e-e-eva!_ _______ __________"

(I know the robot's name was Eve...so why did little Wal-Mar...um, WALL-E pronounce it with the Italian accent that turns an "e" into an "a"?)

@Jess

Which film do you think is the worst PIXAR film, or rather, which is your least favorite?

It would have still been dramatic (TDK) if Batman blamed Two Face's killings on The Joker rather than himself, it just would've made sense. But, like you said, it's hollywood. ;)

the old man,

Thanks. :)

_____ ______ ______________ __________ _____ ________ ____________ _________ _______ ___________________ ______ ________ _______ _______ __________ __________ _____ ______ __________ _____ ________  __________ _____ ____________ ___________ _____ _______ ________ _______ _______ ___________________ ______ _________ _________ _____________ ______ _______ __________

Do you know what that ^ is?

It's the dialogue for the first half of Wall*E. :p

VIc ,
instead of writing a Review Of Quantum of Solace ,
Why not just write an OVERVIEW Piece?
now that the more reality based Latest entry Has become most successful in the history of the franchise ,
what does that mean for Bond films in the future?
and you could sprinkle your opinions of the film in the piece throughout .
If you have already decided to do this be sure to give me FULL CREDIT for the idea!
