As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice. icon smile Open Discussion November 1, 2013

  1. Man of Steel on DVD and Blu-ray available Nov. 12! Pre-order now on Amazon!

Don’t see Thor:The Dark World. It sucks and you hate it.

    • Didn’t care for MOS. If you did, but you disliked TTDW, then perhaps I’ll like the latter.

    • well that’s a nice way to show how many balls you have for being pro DC

    • Don’t know about Thor 2, but MoS been pre-ordered. 11 days to go.

    • Picking it up tomorrow.

  2. For Midgard! First!

    • Blast it, missed first.

  3. Marvel wants to make non-nerds talk to nerds more with these obscure/confusing mid-credits scenes. not a bad move hah!

  4. Anyone else seen Fassbender showing off his new suit and doing his best Kal-El pose?

    • nice!

  5. Cant wait to see Thor, hopefully next week or the week after. Enders Game looks good, but ill probably wait until DVD.

Watched the Mechanic last night. It’s probably one of my least favorite films starring Jason Statham so far. Was ok, but there really wasn’t anything at all that stood out about it. And he really didn’t do much hand to hand combat which is what i like about him.

    • The Mechanic is one of the most forgettable movies ever. I don’t remember anything about it.

  6. How was everyone’s Holloween?

    • Good, I got around to watching Warm Bodies as I have been procrastinating about it for a while. Thought that it was going to be terrible but it was OK. The thing I couldn’t get out of my head though was a recurring imaginary honest trailer saying “starring not Robert Pattinson (Nicholas Hoult), not Amber Heard (Teresa Palmer) and not James Franco (Dave Franco).

      V for Vendetta on Tuesday?

      • They should totally make that honest trailer!! That would be hilarious. I liked Warm Bodies fine. It had some good laughs and I liked the songs they picked in it, Midnight City especially.

Yes Eddie V for Vendetta Tuesday.. Remember Remember…

        • Yeah I forgot to mention that, easily the best soundtrack (not original score)to a film I have heard in a long time!

    • Could have been better got bit by a dog dressed as paul rudd as antman

    • We had a blast. It was my son’s first Birthday and we dressed up as a family costume.

My daughter was Lil’ Red Riding Hood
My son was the Big Bad Wolf
      My wife was the woodsman
      and I was Granny.

      And I watched Ghostbusters!

    • It was great! I dressed as Robin and handed out all seventy of my Halloween comics. One kid told me, “No, thanks,” and his friend replied, “Dude, you never say, ‘No’ to Robin!” (I gave him two comics.) :)

  7. Hail Hydra!

    • Hail hydra indeed my friend

  8. I want a Ghostbusters TV show. There. I said it.

    • One that isn’t a cartoon?

      • yep. Live action. Supernatural style. (I already watch Supernatural, Grimm, and Sleepy Hollow)

I’m sick of waiting for Dan Aykroyd’s 3rd movie.

        • Patrick Warburton, Bryan Cranston, Dan Fogler, and Deon Cole should all star in it.

          • Good cast!

          • hear hear!!

        • I thought Bill Murray was making him rewrite over and over until his head explodes?

          • It’s until my head explodes ;) and that happened in 2004 :D

  9. Hey Ranters! I realize that the actual day has come and gone, but what are some of your fave Halloween memories? Fave childhood costumes, movies, parties, etc.

I remember dressing up as the Mask as a kid. As a 7 yr old that was my favorite movie of all time. I felt so cool when I got dressed up but the green paint got all itchy as it began to peel off haha.. Good times. Also Darth Vader, he was my favorite movie villain.

    • I remember wearing a Darth Maul mask when I was little, could barely see but still wore it because I thought it looked cool. Fell down stairs so many times because of that -.- lmao.

      • My Darth Vader mask had poor visibility as well. We actually famously didn’t get a single picture of me that year with my mask down. haha kinda funny, we just got all these pics with the mask placed horizontally on top of my head like a welding mask.

      • My mom dressed me as a Monchhichi one year. I wanted to be an Ewok and she thought they were the same thing.

They aren’t! This nightmare haunts me to this very day.

    • 1992. I was a Raphael from the Ninja Turtles. And there weren’t as many weirdos back then so there were a lot more kids out t’rtreating. Those were the days.

  10. When i was a kid (ok last year) six friends and i dressed up as falcor from the never ending story

    • No shame in that!! My friends and I did Batman characters last year. By the time I joined all the A-listers were taken so I was scarecrow. More Batman:TAS version than the BBegins version.

      • @ movieDude

I wanted to dress up as Batman from Batman:TAS with white lenses.

  11. when i was a kid we had those really bad plastic masks with the rubberband ripping your hair out, and the little mouth hole trying to breath out of sweating my face off, and the outfit would rip the first minute you stretched your legs…ah the memories….

whats with parents letting their 14 yr old daughters dressed like Wonder Woman or Cat Woman…i felt weird giving them candy man haha

    • Dude you just reminded me of this classic bit from Jerry Seinfeld’s “I’m telling you for the last time” show. I think its from like 1999 or something.

Anyway he talks about halloween as a kid and those crappy masks you mentioned among other things. You should check it out its funny stuff.

  12. Yeeeeah….just make sure your registered
