TV related:

With Battlestar Galactica ending after this season, do you think Caprica can be a success? Afterall, it can’t possibly have the drama and epicness of the ending of the species searching for Earth, and most importantly – NONE of the characters/actors we’ve come to love will be in it.

Kung Fu Panda was a great film. As of right now the best animated film yet. Wall-e may have its work cut out for it.

I was plannin on seeing Kung Fu Panda something funny to tide me over till Hulk. Thanks for the recommend, cuz I know Vic especially isn’t a terribly big animated fan.

Screen Rant says:

Yo Atomic, yeah, it was good – but not PIXAR good. :-)

wow!

I just went to IMDB, and the ENTIRE background is a huge advertisement for the Hulk, opening June 13.

I guess that marketing machine is finally kicking into high gear.

Has anyone seen the Hasbro movie toys for the hulk? They really suck… I mean they’re realllyy badddd. And its sad because with their crappy small scale and crappy design and detail you can’t even put them with the iron man figures or marvel legends line.

I don’t know if anyone watched the MTV movie awards, but three things really stood out. The Wayne’s World sketch was hilarious and the Top Ten list was awesome. The RDJ, Jack Black, Ben Stiller “viral” video was really good. Also, this sort of strays into music, but it was part of the telecast. Coldplay’s performance was okay, but it sounded as if they made them run to get to their places. Chris Martin was out of breath for the whole song. Also, there was way too much confetti and a couple of times he could be seen picking it out of his mouth.

Rob,

If they apply themselves to this task of trying to make Caprica as good as Battlestar Galactica, I think they are going to have to go down ABC’s Lost avenue to some degree..

Lost, despite never resolving the mysteries they present us, has a brilliant approach to showing us the end story, but then showing us several years earlier and filling in the details to meet that end storyline, and the end storyline can be so surprising that you have to, no, need to watch to see how they get there. (I really hate that show.. )

If Caprica can do that to some degree, (It has to.. we know how it all ends.. just like Titanic), I think they can pull this off.

Am I expecting this? I am hoping this, and holding my breath.

I really, really, really want Hulk to kick butt. Has Norton been promoting the film? I was looking at some stuff and noticed he was absent, just like we heard he might be during the post-production debates he, the director and studio had.

Come on, Hulk team, let’s get the word out and let the world know Iron Man wasn’t a fluke, and that Marvel Studios’ movies will kick serious butt!

Hey Bruce,

I hope so and I hope you’re right. It just seems wierd seeing how it will be completely different than Battlestar and without the cast.

As for Lost, you’re really giving it a hard time, hahaha. I think it’s a fantastic show, and as for the mysteries not being revealed. Of 1000 questions created, 920 have been answered so far. I think some viewers get held up on the one or two things that can’t be resolved till the end of the show and others are looking for a real explanation for the sci-fi aspects of the show when they are just that, sci-fi aspects. I would say, definately give it a show on DVD if you get a chance.

And for Mark,

I’m watching the MTV movie awards right, I downloaded it the other night, and you’re right. Seeing Dana Carvey together with Mike Myers after their problems is amazing and I would LOVE to see a Wayne’s World 3, that skit was soo friggin funny during the awards.

I also noticed Ed Norton didn’t seem to want to be there at all, he wasn’t funny, didn’t say anything other than is two required lines and wasn’t humourous at all.

The viral video was awesome too. I’m so happy for Robert Downey jumping to like #1 on the A-list right now with all his awesomness and his bad times in the 90s.

I see that Warner Brothers has greenlit a Green Lantern movie!!!!….Any thoughts on who would be a good Hal Jordan because that seems to be the character arc they are going with. Green Lantern is my next favorite character behind Batman at the DC camp…A ring that can do anything you can think of…imagine the possibilities?! Ian McClellan as the leader of the Guardians of the galaxy and one of the creators of the Corps? Will Smith or Lawrence Fishburne as Jon Stewart? Hal Jordan nobody immediately springs to mind…
