  1. Goodmorning! Just finished Sons of Anarchy season three. Great show!

    • whats worse the dark knight or rob zombies Halloween 2?

      • Too easy. The Dark Knight (IMO) is a very well-done movie. Halloween 2 is a turd that needs to be flushed.

        • the dark knight was overrated… too many minor characters, took away from the super villains (joker, scarecrow, two face) and batmans screen time; they tried to mesh all these dumb sub plots all into 1 movie and it ended up terrible and unwatchable… and i love comic book movies but this was unacceptable for a batman film and now i hear they keep on hiring a million more actors for TDK rises, its gonna end up being just as lame – jbm

          • I so agree with you.

            • Jbm

Well, I really enjoyed TDk and I love Halloween as well. Theyre both good movies.

  2. Watched Super 8 with mom at the theater last night, it was an interesting movie, the kids were funny, but I don’t think it was that great a movie for some reason.

The plot ultimately failed to capture our imagination, I guess… plus, some of the story was a bit unclear (how did the kids know where the alien and Alice were?)… and I actually think they should’ve given Kyle Chandler more of a role.

So it hasn’t really been a good month for me as far as movies go.

Here’s to hoping July will be better. Transformers 3 and Captain America.

    • (how did the kids know where the alien and Alice were?)

.When he was sitting in the cemetery at his mom’s grave he heard and saw something going on the garage. Something big was in there, enough to scare him into running. So he put two and two together and figured he would find something there. I don’t think he knew for sure, it was just an educated guess.

BTW, I loved the movie. Saw it with my brother last night.

      • YEs, that’s how he knew, but I’m with Phil; the children did great but the movie itself was not that great. I’d see “the movie that must not be named” again. :-)

        • LOL … you mean The Green Lant … *URK*

          • Hmmm, that spell didn’t work so well; you got part of the name out. Maybe I need another wand. Rickster???!!! :-D

            • Ricky is too busy having fun with his wand Kahless. As for Super 8, i LOVED that movie, i guess mainly because it remind me of my childhood, and NO I don’t mean I encountered aliens LOL. It was just a great movie for me to watch.

              • I hope he doesn’t go blind playing with his wand so much. :-D

      • Thanks for the explanation, I must have reached for my hidden coke can at that point, lol.

        • I loved Super 8 but I have one question: how did they know alice was still alive?

BTW dont hate on THE wand k? 8-)

  3. Cars 2 is the first bad Pixar movie (according to critics of course, you could consider a Pixar movie as bad).

  4. It was establised earlier on in the film thathe teacher had a place he guarded that he called”theDungeon”.
he said in the film the creature was subterranean.
The boy put two and two together.

  5. Kevin Feige: “95% of the Captain America movie takes place in the past. The bookends are in the modern day. The very first scene of the film is the discovery in the arctic. If you know anything about Cap, you might know what that discovery is.”

Does that mean the Avengers are in it?!

    • At least Samuel Jackson will be… I wouldn’t be surprised if they opted to switch the Avengers out with SHIELD for making the discovery. After all, in the movie timeline, apparently Captain America was the “first Avenger.” *Rolls eyes*

      • I guess they´ll go the “Ultimate” way and SHIELD finds Cap in the ice. And since the line “Thor will return in The Avengers” was shown at the end of Thor… No Thor in Captain America. But maybe Downey will be in it…

  6. Only 21 more days till dearly hallows part 2!!!! :) thus will be the highest grossing movie of the year :)

    • I’d say it has a chance of beating Titanic, and even Avatar.

      • I would agree if it didnt have Captain America, Cowboys & Aliens, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Conan opening after it in consecutive weeks. Not to mention Transformers 3 two weeks prior. That is ALOT of competition.

        • Yeah, you’re right. Man, with all these good movies, I may have to take out a second mortgage. 8-)

      • Well, tickets are double the price that was around more than 10 years ago when Titanic was in the theaters, and Harry Potter’s going to be in 3D and IMAX, right?

    • Nah, Zookeeper and Winnie the Pooh are gonna own. Oh and watch out for Spy Kids, haha.

    • So it’s an Irish movie about the wilderness?. I missed the first one. :)

      • If Harry Pottr beats Titanic i will be the happiest man alive.

  7. No marvel panel at comic con! No warner panel at comic con! No supes, no bats! Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!!!!!!

  8. Winnie the pooh is going to surprise, all the little kids and the teens and adults that grew up on it

    • Yah, I’m sure that it will do well.

    • I was already planning on seeing it at midnight.

  9. I still have a free ticket, since I couldn’t use it for Super 8 or Green Lantern. I think I will go see X-Men: FC again. Of course, I have noticed that I can use it to see Bad Teacher, but that just doesn’t look all that great.

    • So you’re “Free”: ticket comes with an asterisk?
Was it given to you as airline miles?

      • I didn’t realize I couldn’t use it for “NO PASSES” or 3D movies. If I had my glasses with me at the time, I would have read the fine print. :-)

        • Next time you go to a 3D movie keep the glasses and tell them you are seeing a 2D movie.

  10. The new Cap trailer was really good. I do hope that the movie is as good because good trailers sometimes mean bad movies(looking at you GL). Also the next movie I think I will actually spend money on will be Harry Potter. TF3 while having gotten high praise and pretty cool looking trailers will not get my money, until I see good reviews, because I don’t trust Michael Bay or anyone in or around that movie(except for John Malcovich, Alan Tudyk, Hugo Weaving and Frances McDormand)

  11. How awesome was Wilfred last night!?

    • Aargh, forgot all about it.

  12. Looks like a certain studio is in real trouble; wonder what this means for the Spider-Man movie franchise?

    http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/112989/brands-disappear-2012-247

    • Nothing. Columbia still has the rights and they will survive.

      • Oh, okay.

  13. RIP Peter Falk .
    You will be missed.

    • If Columbo ever starts asking about your shoes, “he knows your guilty!”

      rip Peter Falk

      • ‎”There’s just one thing that’s bothering me. . . .”

  14. “As you wish.”

    Requiescat in pace.

  15. I saw the Peter faulk article I was curious if SR was going to do one on Ryan Dunn

  16. Chris Meloni, the cop from SVU, is Perry White in MOS, according to Hollywood Reporter. It’s OK. It’s not going to make or break the cast.

  17. Vic,
    Have you seen TF3 yet?
When you do, can you give us general impressions?
