Good to hear that about “Get Smart” (it’s one my mother wants to see, as she liked the TV show and the trailers looked funny enough), but the one I’m really, really, REALLY looking forward to opens the week after “Get Smart”, and it ain’t “Wanted”, if you catch my drift :)

Get Smart, The Nude Bomb, is now available on dvd!

It looks great in anamorphic widescreen.

Mr.Movies says:

Thats good about Get Smart because I may be going to go see it this Saturday.

Site is quicker and smoother than ever.

Also, I notice the great movie quotes a lot more, they’re in a better position now.

Mind you, every quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail is said to come from the Old Man. ;)

LOL, Steven I haven’t had the time to write code to import all the quotes into the new dbase so I’m entering them by hand a few at a time. :-)

Yeah, I may have been a little tough on it but I want it do well. I’m curious to see how it holds up this upcoming weekend.

I read somewhere that Tom Jane (2nd Punisher) may be in the running for Jonah Hex…Not sure about that as I thought Michael Biehn would have been a perfect Jonah Hex..With his face being disfigured like that I don’t think his age would be a factor and he certainly has the chops..besides I love the line from The Rock “We’ve spilt the same blood in the same mud General”

greenknight333 says:

Jonah Hex’s face I meant not Michael Biehn’s

I also read tht Djimon Honsou is seriously in the running for the Black Panther and may have a cameo in an upcoming Marvel release in the next two years…I think that is some great casting!!!

My movie site cohorts are trying to get confirmation on the Thomas Jane/Jonah Hex story.

I know Nathan Fillion really wanted it…

Vic

greenknight333 says:

NAthan Fillion would actually be a great choice although I just think Biehn would look just like Hex in the comics I used to read. Ever since I saw Biehn in Terminator way back in 84 I thought he would be the ideal guy to play that character but hey Fillion is a great choice aussi!!

Cheers

I went and the saw the matinee for “The Incredible Hulk” today and I was very impressed with the movie as a whole. There were a couple of parts that dragged, but for the most part this movie rocked. Norton as Banner was a great bit of casting, actually the casting was just as exemplary for this film as it was for Iron Man. Marvel seems to have their act together in that department. I loved all the nods to the Hulk franchise throughout the movie. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Hey guys, little sneak preview for you: Unfortunately, I was disappointed by Wanted.

I was really hoping it would be a great roller-coaster ride of a movie, but it was way too over the top in my opinion, even for the sort of movie that it is.

Vic

790 says:

Yeah Vic I saw that coming from the trailers.
Another perfect example of a trailer working for me.
I’m sure the story was utter crap as well. ;-)

Phil says:

Hmm, the pages seem to load the same for me… but then I have a fast connection anyway.

That’s too bad about Wanted but I’m looking forward to Get Smart. :) I still haven’t seen Hulk yet… will probably go see it next week after hearing all the positive things about it. I heard it had a lot of cool cameos.

Rob says:

Hey Vic,

The pages load quicker and thank god, my high speed has been out for 6 days and I have to connect at nasty 56k to get my movie fix, heh.

Also Vic, I have to agree with the Hulk thing. If you compare the strong points and weaker parts (that you and others point out) of Iron man and Hulk, you’re very biased I think. I’m not a Hulk fan, but I don’t see how Hulk didn’t get a higher rating out of 5, it personally doesn’t add up to me. I can’t find 1.5 stars missing in Hulk, especially compared to I think the 0.5 Ironman lost out of 5. I found absolutely nothing wrong with the movie or nothing that could of been done better, it was a pretty perfect comic book film along with Iron man. I actually think Hulk was better story and better pace than Iron man, but Iron dude was way flashier and funnier, I’m not sure that warrants it getting such a high rating. It’s pretty clear most reviewers out there are holding a grudge out against it because of the first crap film by Ang Lee or Ed Norton or something, I can’t figure it out. Another way to look at it is, which film would make a better graphic novel storywise. I think Hulk owns in that department. Maybe its darker tone and its lack of transformers-flash is what is not getting it the big ratings.

As for Djimon Honsou, he would be the greatest Black Panther ever and I’d be in line early opening night to see him, and I would wet myself if he had cameos or could be in a second avengers movie with Wolvy and Spidey

Hey guys, I’m testing some things and I’m going to try a partial Newsfeed for a while. I know some people dislike them but honestly with my long list of sites that I follow in a reader, I prefer just snippets of posts instead of having to page down through really long tomes.

I don’t know if I’ll lose some RSS readers with this or not, but we’ll see.

Feedback appreciated of course.

THE HULK TEAM DONE WHAT THEY HAD TO DO…AND GAVE US A GREAT ALL ACTION HULK MOVIE THAT HAS GOT HIM BACK WHERE HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN…NOW MY BIG WORRY IS SPIDER-MAN!!! WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO TAKE HIM NEXT? DO THEY LEAVE HIM ANOTHER FEW YEARS THEN REEBOOT THE WHOLE THING…WILL MARVEL EVER BE ABLE TO BRING HIM IN UNDER THEIR TOTAL CONTROL…WILL SAM RAMI BE ABLE TO DELIVER A FRESH VIBRANT MOVIE??
BUT ISN’T IT GREAT HAVING ALL THESE MARVEL ICONS BATTLING IT OUT AT THE CINEMAS?!

BRAVEHEART says:
