Hey Daniel, why don’t we give Vic and everyone else here a break on the prison discussion.

Let’s get back to things that involve movies and tv. ???
This open discussion has been fun but let’s not drag it down further with the quality of prison life,,,
I’m getting a headache.

And my argument has NEVER been to FORCE anyone to own a firearm. The point is that anti gun people are trying to FORCE everyone to not have them. So I’m the one advocating giving the people the freedom to choose whether or not they want to be armed for self protection or for hobby. You don’t like guns? Fine, don’t get them, but don’t act like everyone else needs to be like you. And I won’t shoot myself in the foot because I never aim the muzzle of any of my weapons at any part of my body. Firearm safety 101. Treat all firearms as if they were loaded, don’t point your weapon at anything you don’t intend to destroy, keep your finger or any object away from the trigger until you’re ready to fire, never assume a weapon is loaded, always check AND VERIFY with a second person that a weapon is clear. Simple stuff, you’ll have to screw up like 3 or 4 of those at the same time for an accident to happen. And accidents do happen, just like accidents happen on the road because people speed or follow too closely behind other drivers. It’s impossible to prevent because people are idiots.

And I wasn’t talking about jails, jails are nasty, I was talking about prisons. Prisons are built for long term incarceration so they typically have more amenities while jails are meant for 364 days or less so they typically are very bare bones. Some say the worst sentence is 364 days since that means they will go to jail for the longest time allowed instead of prison. They would prefer to be sentenced a week longer just to end up in a prison instead. Judges do that on purpose for those crimes that call for a sentence that borderlines a year, they will intentionally decrease the sentence to just under a year if the defendent wasn’t respectful or something, lol. To laymen it sounds like they are doing them a favor, but in fact it makes it much worse. Good for them…

I have a lot of friends who were and some are still CO’s and they tell me inmates are crybabies, lol. They whine and cry about EVERYTHING. Oh, oops, CO’s stand for correctional officers, I have to use acronyms carefully, lol.

Your buddy is retarded, lol, I’m not sure if I’ve personally heard of anyone “loving” it in there, but my friends who are CO’s tell me that it’s pretty calm in there and they see “regulars” in there and they’ve had several inmates tell them “it’s better than living on the streets” or something to that effect.
