Sicko had nearly as many inaccuracies in it as his 9/11 piece. It was more shocking to see what he blatantly lied about in the film than what he actually got right in the film which was very little.

And he misrepresented what medical service is like in countries with socialized medicine to make them look good.

The only difference between socialized medicine and the US medical system is thatin socialized medicine in Canada you have to wait longer for services BUT if it is an emergency everyone gets treated the same with GREAT health care…Unlike the US medical system where you get great care if you can afford it or have a good insurance plan…Corruption abounds if there is money to be made..

My family came from a country with socialized medicine. Stop lying, it’s downright nasty. There are lines like the DMV, the medical “care” is mediocre, everyone treats the job like they are underpaid, because they ARE underpaid…
You say it’s like the USA. I’ll send you photos of the hospital I’m working at now, I GUARANTEE you your hospitals there won’t look anywhere close to it…
The thing about healthcare “availability” in the USA is that if your life is in danger, it is ILLEGAL to turn a patient away for inability to pay. So regardless of if you have insurance or money, you will have access to medical attention if you NEED it, no, you won’t be able to WASTE our time if you have the sniffles, but oh well, get a job with insurance if you want to waste our time and yours.
Once it’s free, people will come to the hospital for every little stupid thing, so traffic will increase, doctors and staff will get paid significantly less since it’s dependent on how much money the government can spare (we have PLENTY of surplus right???? LMAO), so not only would staff treat the job differently, but the job will attract a different crowd, since being a doctor or nurse will no longer be something people with ambitions strive for, but what people will settle for…
No thanks, you guys can keep it, we already see how “well run” our government run places are in the USA.

The Emperor in doing this will effectivley bankrupt the heath insurance companies in the process.

The sad thing about Moore’s mockumentaries is exactly that, people don’t realize what utter lies they are. He doesn’t try hard to hide it either, he’s basically blatantly lying to your face. Which leads to the conclusion that it’s either all a big joke, and he’s really laughing at all of the people paying to watch his stuff. Or he really is trying to fool people and has absolutely no shame…
Don’t get me started with the 9/11 stuff, I’m fine with people and their conspiracy theories, but leave that one alone, I truly get pissed off at people who try to make those retarded claims, it’s like they prioritize their need to add drama to everything over the lives lost that day…

I don’t agree and I DON’T lie. I also work in a social health care system Ken.I work in a great hospital..and the healthcare I and my family recieves is downright great..and they may not turn you away in the USA but you will pay for it whether or not you have the means..the organization will collect their money..
and what country are you from? I was speaking of Canada and the health care system here..Health care should be FREE!!

The economy will crash but they already have a new monotary system in the wings ready to replace the dollar.

Ah, sorry to have sounded rude, but seriously, it’s not free, it’s never free, everyone’s paying for it. I haven’t been hospitalized for the last 20 years, that means I haven’t had to pay for it. Under a socialized healthcare system, we all pay for it whether we use it or not. If you want to talk “not fair” there you have it.
GK333 and Ken, both of you have valid points. What we need is a better solution one that lies somewhere inbetween. If the world wasn’t run on cash, this wouldnt be a prob…

Sorry dude, I apologized right after posting it. But yah, there you go, you just said it, so you DO realize it’s not free right? Where do you think our taxes come from? Yep, our paychecks. I don’t want to pay for other people going to the hospital.
If you were truly sorry for sounding rude(trust me you do come off as rude alot) then you would stop repeating the behavior instead of putting both feet in your mouth all the time Ken..
Health care… free? Right.
I really wish that health insurance was set up like car insurance – only something to use when you absolutely need it. The way it’s used now is more like a credit card – go in charge it on your insurance, worry about paying for it later.
And if people would take CARE of themselves instead of abusing their bodies to the point they need insulin, $50,000 heart surgeries and who knows what else, everyone’s medical costs would be lower. That’s why obesity (especially childhood) drives me insane.

I don’t pay for other people going to the hospital Ken I pay for when I need to go and for when my kids and wife and mother and father need to go..Most of us actually pay taxes so look at it like paying for your health care a little bit at a time because when you really need it it costs a hell of a lot..You know it can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I’ve never seen airwolf, but I agree with Red Dawn, there’s no reason to remake it, but I’m pretty sure they have an agenda with the remake due to the people they have making it. They probably didn’t like the original’s undertones so they want to “tweak” it a little. Oh well, the original will forever be the real one. I hope the imitation bombs.

LOL, I apologized for not being tactful enough with my speech, doesn’t mean I’m a pushover, lol. Reality check dream boy, you ARE paying for other people going to the hospital. You say taxes pay for it right? Who pays taxes? People who work like you and I right? Following so far? Who goes to hospitals? ONLY people who work and pay taxes?? And do you all go for the same thing? Does your hospital visit for a bad headache cost as much as Joe Schmoe’s hospital visit with two shattered legs and Wendy’s emergency heart surgery? So you take people with hospital bills MUCH larger than yours, add that with people who don’t work and don’t pay taxes who probably go to hospitals far more often than you do (drug seekers), divide that up between only people who work and pay taxes, you are paying for a larger portion than you actually use. It’s simple math. Like for me, I haven’t hospitalized myself in the last 20 years, so does that mean they refund the taxes that went to healthcare at the end of the year since I didn’t use it??? LOL Come on now, get real. You are paying for everyone, not just yourself. You claim you’re not lying, but you’re lying to yourself if you really believe you’re not paying for everyone else’s hospital visit.
Free… funny how “free healthcare” means you no longer have free choice… Makes me laugh when people call it free.

you forgot the single most important factor in determining someone’s health and that is genetics..so if you have a perfect family history then I guess you can play the “people should take care of themselves card”
No hypertension, no heart disease, no diabetes, perfect eyesight(which I assume you don’t because you wear glasses, maybe you should have taken better care of your eyes), no colitis, no reflux, depression etc etc
My sister runs ten K a day and eats very healthy and has diabetes. She has always taken very good care of herself and she needs insulin because she has type I diabetes.It’s in our family as well as heart disease.
I also know several people who take exceptional care of themselves and still required a coronary artery by-pass graft (CABG/heart surgery) because they had a bad family history of heart disease..so again you shouldn’t be generalizing..Not all people that have poor health fail to take proper care of their bodies.
Oh and studies have shown that unhealthy people are not draining the health care system because they die sooner. much earlier than healthy individuals who live to be 80 or 90. It’s the old people that live to be 90 and require frequent readmissions to hospitals and remain there waiting for placement in a long-term care facilty that drain more from the health care system than smokers and people who abuse their bodies..
Ken like I said if your apologies meant anything you would stop repeating your rude behavior..I can’t call you ignorant because you obviously know better and you do have the common decency to apologize when you are tactless but it is shallow and meaningless because you flagrantly reapeat said behavior..I have a three year old who exhibits a lot of your character traits but that’s ok because he is three..I have no idea what your excuse is…

Do yourself a favor and check out Season One of Airwolf sometime … classic 80s TV action with an awesome helicopter. Lots of Cold War and post-Vietnam issues.
Probably the hardest thing for a new viewer to get used to are the aerial fights where they splice in footage of actual planes and helicopters that are clearly not “right” for the show … one of the main reasons I’d love to see this show come back with 21st Century CGI. Anyway, if you can get past that and the bits of melodrama and schlock, it’s fun to watch, but then I’m biased …
He just rubs me the wrong way sometimes..and I hate getting drawn into this sort of debate 790 because it gets both sides no where..

Oh, it’s a show? I’ll check it out sometime. They did that with everything back in the day, even big budget movies used footage from everywhere for their aerial fights and stuff. And I remember back when we had no access to real Russian aircraft so they always used F5/T38’s as “MIGs” lol!
