i hate to this but i’ve read a review about the incredible hulk that the battle between hulk and abomination is even spectacular than the climictic battle in transformers

Salgadosromain,

do you mean the megatron-Optimus battle? or do you mean the entire ending fight with all the transformers, cuz the optimus-megatron thing was pretty short and not much of a fight rather than an autobot-beatdown, hehe

salgadosroman said,

i’m talking about the entire battle and also you don’t wanna hear this that Marvel Studios Chairman David Maisel is playing it cheap with director Jon Favreau, and that they may go with another director for Iron Man 2!here’s the proof of it http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/articles/4654.asp

woah, that would be a huge mistake on marvel’s part UNLESS they’re giving him avengers instead, that’s the only way they could get away with that, with what he did for them and the fans.

oscar! said,
June 11th, 2008

I think the only way he wouldnt come back is if he did get the Avengers job. That would suck if he didnt either job.

Another thing, do you guys think its possible/likely for there to be a Cap cameo in the upcoming Wolverine movie??? During the WWII parts???

Oscar! said,
June 11th, 2008

*get

Rob said,

yo Oscar,

Good thinking bud, that would be pretty incredible if the actor playing Cap was revealed in that movie.

I don’t know what the wolverine movie will cover of his past, him as kid we know is in it. What about WW2 like you say, or him in Japan, or him in alpha flight in Canada, there’s a rediculous amount of mostly-retconned history there for a single film

Brooster said,

I read that there is a Cap appearance in the incredible hulk. But the director would not give the exact spot in the film to find him, said it was an easter egg.

Oscar! said,
June 11th, 2008

I heard about that too, if he is in the Incredible Hulk, itll prob be one of those scenes where you see part of his leg or something like that frozen in a giant cube of ice.

greenknight333 said,

I have read that the Incredible Hulk director has stated that there will be a Captain America cameo in the movie…Maybe a picture of Cap from WWII or maybe Cap frozen in the ice before the big thaw..Not sure but should be very interesting I’m sure…The Tony Stark appearance in Hulk looks tres cool too!!

greenknight333 said,
June 11th, 2008

I also read there will be tons of cameos in the Wolverine film with a lot of characters from the Marvel Mutant Universe..I doubt Cap will appear in Wolverine because then Fox would be c ross promoting another movie from a different studio unless Fox picks up distribution rights on the Captain America movie.

greenknight333 said,

Jim Hudson aka the Guardian may be in the Wolverine movie from something I read

June 11th, 2008
Captain America does not appear in the theatrical release but he is in the 70 additional minutes of footage that will be on the DVD. I’m betting he’ll be frozen in the ice with his face obscured. There IS reference to WWII and the super soldier program in the movie though.

really? That’s pretty crazy stuff. I wonder if they have an idea which actor may play captain america.. I kinda of hope its a lesser known actor

Released today, some set picture from Wolverine.

They are 2-3 shots of the set/beach where they’re doing some WW2 scenes

KEL said,

You saw the film, Vic? Awesome. I’m still hoping they’ll put Cap in once the film has its nationwide release, kinda like how they put Nick Fury at the end of the IM credits after that film’s nationwide release. But the DVD is good too, I suppose. The director said something about the Cap scene going online sometime within the next few weeks, I wonder if there’s any truth to that.

Also, does this mean that they’ve designed the Cap costume already? And possibly even casted someone for the part? The plot thickens. :D

I just read an interview with the producer of the hulk and she said cap is not even in the arctic scene..that he was never in the movie…

June 12th, 2008
Thanks, Brooster, yeah… I saw that late yesterday myself.

Brooster said,

np….i was actually hoping to see him in the movie..or at least the deleted scenes on the dvd….oh well…maybe there will be more of a crossover in IM2

“I just read an interview with the producer of the hulk and she said cap is not even in the arctic scene..that he was never in the movie…”

So does that mean that Leterrier was lying in this quote from CBM?:
“”There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decides to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”

Brooster said,
June 12th, 2008

That is very interesting. I just read that one too. If Cap is in there, maybe it is footage the producer was not aware of….

Rob said,
June 12th, 2008

The producer would definately know of a scene like that if it took place.

June 12th, 2008
“So does that mean that Leterrier was lying in this quote from CBM?”

He’s not lying.

That’s all I can say. :-)

Geez Louise…..You guys are drama queens…Of course Leterrier is not lying..you can’t make a statement of that significance and not be able to back it up because in today’s multimedia world you would be eaten alive…I think the producer is probably trying to pull an Avi Arad thing when he pretended to act like Hilary Swank was making a cameo in the IM movie when it was to deflect the media attention away from the real cameos in the movie…Cap will make an appearance on the DVD!!!

It’s not being a drama queen so much it’s just acknowledging some of the uncertainty of the situation. Producers can put limits on movies too,and you know Ms. Hurd is most definitely in that category…

Jon Favreau will Direct Iron Man 2 and will also Co-Produce Avengers.

Suck on that for awhile.

jc in chicago said,
June 12th, 2008

hey 790, who’s the other producer?

jc in chicago said,
June 12th, 2008

It would be cool if the Hulk (or Bruce Banner) somehow detaches Steve Rogers from a larger iceberg, which would enable him to thaw out and give him entrance to our time.

Then later, if Steve & Bruce came face to face, it would be interesting if one or both of them had a sense of familiarity.

(I can’t remember how he’s found in the comics…would this mess with the story too much?)

790 said,

During the filming of Iron Man 2, Downey Jr and Favreau will team up to co-produce “Avengers” with others of course, it will be a huge film. (At least that’s what I’m hearing today.)

Your going to soon be reading more on Downeys postion with Favreau very soon in the news….

FYI, I just typed the screenrant address in, and it brought me straight to “screenrant mobile” which looked like an old school messageboard. I went to the bottom and clicked on the “Screenrant Home” hyperlink and got right to the regular homepage, but I thought that was kind of wierd and that you guys should know

June 15th, 2008
Woah. Thanks, Kyle. That’s actually the mobile version of the site, but it shouldn’t come up when the site is accessed from the a browser on a PC.

I dont know if you have corrected it yet. It is still coming up as the mobile site for me. Do I have to delete cookies?

June 15th, 2008
There’s caching on the site so it could take a while to flush. In the past I always pushed www visits to the non www domain but that’s not in effect right now. I need to investigate this in more detail, but it’s Father’s Day. :-)
