  1. Woah that’s a long time. Very long time. And thanks I’ll ask them to save it. Wow, instead of prenatal classes the guys should just come to ScreenRant for tips and help :) thanks guys

  2. Congratulations on your kid Oscar.

  3. I believe that the Dragonball Z movie deserves a reboot. I did not see Dragonball Evolution but I heard that it sucked; therefore I have no intention to see the film. Here is how I would make the ultimate Dragonball Z live action movie.

    1. The title of the movie will be simply “Dragonball Z”!
    2. Hire Louis Leterrier to direct the movie.
    3. Get Mark Dacascos to play Goku.
    4. Get Russell Wong (Romeo Must Die) to play Vegeta.
    5. Michael Jai White for Piccolo.
    6. The movie would follow “The Saiyan Saga” storyline from the cartoon.
    7. DON’T MAKE A WATER DOWN PG FAMILY DRAGONBALL Z MOVIE! Make it a dark, edgy, and violent PG-13 epic!

  4. Dragonball Z does not deserve a reboot because it shouldn’t even be a movie. It’s horrible.

  5. @Oscar

    Congrats!

And you’re doing the right thing by being on the internet while your wife is in labor. If you are there for her during this she’ll expect you to be there for everything!
Like birthdays, anniversaries, full moons, eclipses, etc. :)

BTW, I too said I wouldn’t look down, but I did.
It is truly the most miraculous thing one could ever witness. I am glad I did.
I also cut the umbilical cord. It was as strong as a garden hose … THAT is what creeped me out. And yet it too was an experience worth having.

  6. LOL wut? I’m sitting right next to her, lol I don’t want you guys to think that I’m not supporting her right now lol. Ewwwwwww I don’t want to cut the ambilical cord anymore lol

  7. I believe that Ben Affleck would make a good Batman. Personally I find him too muscular to play Daredevil, but Batman on the other hand would be his cup of tea. No Daredevil reboot!

I don’t know why people think Brandon Routh looks like the late Christopher Reeve. I don’t see the resemblance. Tom Welling; now THAT dude looks more like Christopher Reeve.

I wish Ed Norton and Marvel never have that problem with the final version of “The Incredible Hulk” movie. That awesome fight scene with the Hulk and the Abomination was suppose to be 26 minutes long! Dang! Hopefully when they make the sequel Marvel will cut Louis and Edward some slack so that they can crank up the action.

James Cameron Avatar is going to be the Star Wars of our generation. If you seen the video clip with James Cameron at E3, he reveals that the fight scene at the end of the movie will be the mother of all battles! With so much going into his movie, how can James possibly turn it into a trilogy?

  8. @BJ Jones, there can’t be a reboot to a film that never came out. Dragonball Z was never made, the movie that came out was Dragonball Evolution, and it was based on Dragonball not Dragonball Z

  9. Superman Returns, which wasn’t that bad but could have been better, failed because of not much action and that little superboy.

Oscar, congratulations bro! And in 16 years, my sympathies :-) .

    @Vic
They can use the stem cells after birth? I know I’m an idiot but why all the fuss about killing the fetus to use the stem cells?

Before I left for work today, Friday the 13th: The Series was on the SciFi Channel. I had forgotten how much I liked that series and put it on my DVR recording list

  10. Did anyone else hear that “Xmen: First Class” is gonna continue the events after X3 and not be a prequel?

  11. I think one of the reasons “Superman Returns” failed was b/c of the time it was released…..I thought the film was brillian, but it was released during the summer when people mostly wanna see action blockbusters and not character driven films.

  12. How cool would it be if James Cameron directed Spider-man in the 90′s? He even wanted Leonardo Dicaprio to play Peter Parker. It makes sense since the two worked together on Titanic. They could have easily dived in on Spiderman and released it two years after Titanic. It would have been the movies of the 90s! Too bad it never happened.

Replace Tobey Maguire! He’s too old to play Spiderman! Get Jake Gyllenhaal! Get Joseph Gordon-Levitt! One of those two can be the new Spider-Man!

    @Oscar!

Your information on DBZ confuse me.

  13. I think Jake Gyllenhal would be great as Spidey.

  14. @BJ
Like Oscar said, that movie was based on Dragonball, not DBZ. But if a DBZ movie were made, I believe they should get someone trained in the martial arts who’s also short to play Vegeta. He is the 2nd most powerful being in that universe but his stature was small. Wong is too tall. I would actually get Michael Jai White to play the villain Brolli, since Brolli is huge; of course Brolli isn’t in the Saiyan Saga but afterwards. They could do Dragon Ball Z: Saiyan Saga, then DBZ: Brolli. I think Wong would be good for Piccolo.

  15. @ Matt Keith

Superman is SUPPOSE to be a action blockbuster. It supposed to be a summer movie. Not a character driven film.

Speaking of character driven movies, what is up with Sam Raimi? Why is he so keen to make the Spider-Man movies character driven instead of the action fiasco it supposed to be? Don’t get me wrong, a good story is important in a movie; but when interviewed about what will happen in the fourth Spiderman movie it sounds as if Sam Raimi wants to make the movie more of a drama instead of raising the action.

How much more do we need to know about Peter Parker?

Spidey 1. He learns about responsibility

Spidey 2. He learns about sacrificing his own freedom to help others.

Spidey 3. He learns to overcome his own personal demons.

Spidey4? What else is there to learn about Peter? His favorite food, his bathroom problems, his support for Barack Obama? WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED TO KNOW?!

How about this; in Spiderman 4 let’s just see butt kicking action and less drama. AND PLEASE REPLACE TOBEY AND KIRSTEN!

  16. @john, yup that’s the part that scares me, the Teen years. No boys at my house till she’s atleast 30 Lol

  17. BJ Jones,

Superman has always been about his inner and personal issues, and how he was living as a god amongst men. There are few that can have a physical fight w/ him, and has always relied on stories to sell, but that doesn’t sell a summer blockbuster.

  18. Lots of commenting today, yay!

Now that summer TV is upon us, what should I DVR?

  19. I don’t like the way the X-men movies portrayed Rogue. They show her as a whiny teenager who doesn’t want her powers. The Rogue I grew up with (from the cartoons) was a sassy southern belle who was beautiful and kicked butt! It appears as if none of the characters in the X-Men movies were portrayed the right way (except for Wolverine and Professor X). That doesn’t mean for a X-Men reboot!

I believe that James Cameron is capable of making an awesome X-Men movie.

  20. Marvel Movies James Cameron can direct:

    The Fantastic Four
    The Incredible Hulk*
    Spider-Man
    X-Men
    Iron Man*

*Not that I dislike Louis Leterrier and Jon Favreau take on the characters, but just wondering.

  21. @BJ
I kind of agree with you about Rogue to a point. In the comic, she initially didn’t like her powers because all she did was steal others energy. She was raised by Mystique (but she didn’t know it was Mystique) and had her steal Ms. Marvel’s powers but had her hold on longer until Ms. Marvel went into a coma. That made Rogue keep those powers (flight and strength) and those powers she liked. I guess they couldn’t write that into any of the movies.

  22. Glad everything went well Oscar! Your life will never be the same again. ;-)
    ^
BJ, I highly doubt Cameron has any interest in directing any of those films.
That would be a step backwards to him. He’s more into creating revolutionary 3D technology and directing his pet projects.

You say Marvel should let him Direct, I bet they would love to have him direct. At this point in Cameron’s career he can direct anything he wants…
After Avatar I would expect he’ll get even more into technology and other ways to “improve or change” the movie going experience.

He’s following the path of Spielberg and Lucas as this point…

  23. @790

I didn’t say I want him to direct these movies, I’m just saying they are something he COULD direct. The fact that these are science fiction comics and James Cameron is famous for his scifi/action flicks it would be a match made in Heaven.

I know he won’t direct anything from Marvel, but one can imagine the alternative right?

  24. Has there been word on whether or not James Cameron is still gonna make a live action film on “Battle Angel”?

  25. Hey, I know this might be a bit arcane (haha) but I know Spielberg bought the rights to The Talisman (by Stephen King/Peter Straub) ages ago. Was just wondering if anything was going on with that? I think the tech has caught up with the book (one of my favorites)

  26. Can we have a poll about the Twilight saga? Although it’s boosted the careers of some young stars and made the writer of the book famous, who really cares? To each their own, but… enough… Let the MTV crowd gush over it…

  27. Well as much as I don’t think the movie was one of the best of the year, I am a fan of the book series and like reading the updates on it. And if you go to any of the specific Twilight Saga pages, you’ll see people posting in the comments section. As Vic said before: its a popular item and page views pay the bills.

  28. @Kahless

Umbilical cords contain stem cells, yes. I wish I had thought to preserve my daughter’s because using your own newborn stem cells is best chance at fighting certain major diseases.

    @Oscar

Welcome to my world, buddy. :) Just be disciplined, fair and give her plenty of dad attention so that when she hits that point she won’t feel the need to go elsewhere looking for the love she needs from her dad. A friend of my daughter’s is boy crazy but so far my daughter hasn’t gone nutso as far as that’s concerned.

BTW, discipline (no, I didn’t say spanking) and not spoiling your daughter in her early years is KEY to her ending up being a “good kid.” If by the time she’s five you still have discipline issues, you’ll be in for a rough ride.

    Vic

  29. @ Matt Keith

According to IMDb; Battle Angel is in pre production. It’s likely to be James Cameron next film.
