As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice.

Happy Friday Ranters! Work is super slow so we need a topic to get me through this day! Top 5 2014 Box Office Projections go! Mine would be:
1. Hunger Games Catching Fire 2. Transformers 4 3. Spidey 4. Cap: TWS 5. DOFP
You don’t think the next Hobbit movie will be up there in those ranks? Or does it even come out in 2014 lol.
I think it will be up there. But I think those will make more. DOS is having a drop from The Hobbit so it’s possible the next one will as well and not break a billion. I think those five will all have a chance to top the $1b mark.
I actually think because it’s the final Hobbit film it will do rather well. Now because it opens late in the year I don’t think it will reach the 1B in 2014 but will when it’s all said and done with oversea releases(2015). I think Hunger Games Catching Fire is pretty much in a win/win situation with how good the film was last year. Transformers 4 is a toss up. Is this an improvement over the last trilogy and are people going to buy in? I don’t know. Until I see a trailer I won’t be able to tell. Spidey 2 should do pretty well along with Cap: TWS and DOFP. I think another film to throw in there along with The Hobbit 3 is Rise of the Planet of the Apes. That trailer was just insane and I know there is soo much hype on this movie so I can see it also reaching 1B. GOTG is a toss up as well. Are people going to buy in with these lesser known characters(general public).
Happy Friday, Kyle!
List looks good; here’s mine:
1) Hunger Games 2) Spiderman 2 3) Interstellar 4) Cap 2 5) Tranformers 4
I just hope GOTG makes the top ten! Haven’t even seen it and already want a sequel secured
High hopes for Inteseller huh?
I’m not good at predictions haha But yes, I hope it does well and blows us away…we shall see…
I’m betting it’ll reach at least the 700 million mark. I mean, Inception got pretty high!
I didn’t think Inception did that well but I just looked it up and it did $825m. So Interstellar may do pretty well as well. I always find it fun to predict these types of things.
Out of all of the Marvel superheroes which hero do you think has powers that could actually be realized in our modern day? Which one is most plausible?
Black Widow? haha
Happy Friday Ranters!
Nice and snowy up here in the NorthEast. Somehow made it into work and not many people in the office. Guess I’m the idiot for not working from home. Saw “The Family” last night with DeNiro. I actually liked it but defintely thought it would be a little more paced. Any movie suggestions for the weekend??
Id ask the same question about heroes AND villains from DC’s universe

2014 is indeed gonna be an epic year for epic movie. What about Mad Max: Road Fury?
That got postponed to 2015.
Damn it! lol will the postponement ever end?!?
Oh and it’s “Fury Road”
Hopefully this is the last postponement.
Ikr and with all of its production issues, it better be a sick movie.
A lot of those on the list are some I am going to check out.

How was everybody’s new year? I’ve seen more family in the last two weeks than I’ve seen in the last two years! It’s all good though, had a great couple of weeks, although it’s nice to finally be home.
Top 5 highest grossing of 2014 predictions:
1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay PT 1 2. Not-yet-so Captain America: TWS 3. The Amazing Webhead 2 4. Interstellar 5. Transformers 4
And while we’re (not) on the subject.
Where the Zues is Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in phase 2? Not complaining about adding Anthony Mackie, but DUDE WHERES MY CLINT?!
Movie Thor vs. Man of Steel Superman
I know a lot of people will perhaps say Thor because of his hammer and Superman’s weakness to magic. But, I’m gonna have to discount that because Thor clearly stated that Asgardian magic is just high level science. So it’s not really magic at all. Plus Superman is faster and stronger from what I’ve seen in the movies. So who do you think would win?
YOu just said movie versions and then brought up weakness to magic, but in the movies Superman hasn’t shown a weakness to magic so that can’t be exploited. Superman obliterates him.
Im a big Thor fan but Ive gotta agree. All Superman has to do is seperate Thor from his hammer. If theres a big enough distance between Thor & his hammer, it takes time for it to travel to him. I think its quicker in the comic’s. Once thats done, Superman could just throw Thor into the sun. Or he could just melt the hammer with his heat beams.
i have a Hulk question…anybody a expert on the 2 movies and tv series, i have been arguing with a friend about this, i noticed in another topic someone said the tv series ties into The Incredible Hulk? how does it
also The Hulk (2003) ends with him in a South American jungle and The Incredible Hulk (2008)starts with him in South America as i recall, coincidence?…i understand they are created by different studios, so technically they aren’t in the same MU
What’s happening with the Evil dead franchise? What’s up with the ending to the remake? Has Sam Raimi finished the script to his Army Of Darkness sequel, is it going to tie the new and old franchises together. Does Drag me to hell fit into the Franchise , if not, Why not? Play ball and remember I’ll swallow your soouullll!
I want to see an epic Marvel film with Black Panther and Storm as the main characters. Use Africa to tell the origins story of Storm while tying in Black Panther.
Query related to Captain Kirk in Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan.
It’s a famous meme… Kirk screaming KHAAAAAAAN !
Thing is Kirk knew the Enterprise would be fixed in 2 hours. Spock said 2 days because they assumed Khan was listening in saying hours would be like days. Knowing this it seems amusing that Kirk would react to Khan’s trash talking to that extent.
