As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself – just remember to play nice. icon smile Open Discussion February 17, 2014

  1. Ok, so we are a year out, I wonder when we will get a list article of possible supervillians for ant-man, I personaly think EggHead, Whirlwind, and Black Knight are likely canidates, or perhaps even comrade X

    • From what is teased, it sounds as if the movie will be more of a battle between Hank Pym and Scott Lang but I agree those villians could be interestng.

      • We are definately going to have another villian or two, one for the 60′s and one for today, even if just as a pest, I could see Egghead/Comrade X as th enemy during the old war, then one of them planning a legacy vilian that resurges in modern day(I could see Whirlwind becoming an expermental battle armor fused with someone who got their powers in a lab experient gone wrong(or right)

        • Obviously not a Villain, but since we’re flashing back in time, maybe we’ll see young Eric Selvig in a supporting part? He mentions in a Thor that he was friends with Hank Pym. Perhaps Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd could step into his father’s role. Just a thought that occurred to me right now.

    • i don’t think they need one if its a origin story, from what we know it could be a story between Pym and Lang

  2. I know its old news now, but Jesse Eisenberg… GAAH it makes me mad!

    • Not so much mad, but bewildered at the overall poor casting decisions made so far.

      • now that they have sunk in i am ok with Batman and Lex, i am still having a tough time with Wonder Woman, and is based on Gadot’s acting skills….does she have the acting chops to carry the character

  3. Honey, where are my paaaaaaaaaaaaaaants.

    • Ah who cares honey, everything is AWESOME! (Even when you have no pants!)

    • For a split second I thought you were going to say “Honey, where’s my supersuit?”

      • I watched that movie again this weekend. What a fun film. When can we get a sequel?

  4. The other day I was thinking “When are they going to announce who’s playing Ant-Man?! They’ll have to announce that soon. Maybe that Armie Hammer rumor will turn out to be true?” Then, later, I remembered Paul Rudd was cast and had a facepalm moment. Later, (I think when the Vision news came out) I thought “So was Vin Diesel just pulling our asses with all that talk about being in a Marvel movie, or will news come out about him soon?” Then, I remembered he was cast as Groot, and facepalmed again. So, my question is: Is anybody else having a hard time keeping up in your brain with all the Super Hero casting news, or am I just going old and Senile at a young age?

    • Nah, it’s not just you. while I didn’t have a problem with these two cases it definitely gets harder to remember the actual facts between all these rumors and and downright false information.

    • Agreed. For some reason though, the ones I do remember are those that people had the most problem with. Eisenberg as Luthor and Affleck as Batman spring to mind but I could not have told you who was Ant-Man or who Ultron will be.

Quick question, does anyone know if the Nova Corp will be featuring in the GoG movie. I only just started reading the Annihilation comic and the most interesting part, for me, is the Nova Corp.

      • Yeah, the controversial ones like Affleck and Eisenberg are harder to forget, probably because every day you hear someone complain/make a joke about it.

John C. Reilly and Glenn Close will be playing Nova Corps members i GOTG (I actually remembered that one, but still had to double check on Wikipedia)

  5. The site doesn’t remember the comment information (Name & Mail) for two months now, and still no fix for that. :(

Is it really that hard to reinstate a very useful feature that has worked for years? Please, Screenrant, make it work again.

    • I still find it to be a pain. But do you have “auto fill” setup on your browser to where it just remembers any login info in a dropdown? It makes everything a lot easier.

      • Good idea. But I would only use it if I could selectively enable it for certain websites, I don’t like to hand over all my credentials to the browser. I will investigate. ;)

    • I just sent a new support ticket to our server admin.

      • Thanks, Vic! Always on top of everything!

      • Thank you. I hope they can figure it out. :)

  6. Will we ever see Cyclops, Gambit/Rogue, Archangel, and others really be the main focus of an X-men movie over Wolverine, and Magneto? and will we ever get any news on a remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon, Decaprio’s Island of Dr Moreau remake, and Prometheus 2 Paradise? Really guys n gals I want to know anyone have any info?

  7. I know I keep saying this, but I really like Agents of SHIELD.

Perhaps even more than Arrow (gasp).

Also, Shaw is better than Carter on Person of Interest, unlike Reese, I don’t miss her.

  8. Will there ever be an Italian Job sequel?

@ Big Nerd, more than Arrow? I’ll give it another shot after the season wraps up. But I’m skeptical as s***.

    • The Brazilian Job

      Charlize Theron getting a Brazilian

      • That would be worth seeing if ScarJo was cast along side her. :-)

      • Oh Lawdy. That alone is worth the price of admission. Stay thirsty my friends.

    • Yeah, I really enjoyed the Italian Job and from what I remember it got decent reviews and did well in theaters and think they starting planning a sequel soon after then nothing. I wonder what happen.

    • @naledge:

I think it’s just about managing expectations. I had only watched the 1st ep until last week (which I didn’t think was very good) but after binge-watching the rest of it, I really liked it. I think there is something to be said about watching a series one ep after the other rather than one week at a time.

It’s better than Almost Human and Intelligence and I thought I wouldn’t be I do like how it ties in with the cinematic universe.

  9. Arrow fans! Amazon has a great sale on Arrow Season 1 on blu ray. I bought it last night. $23

  10. Has anyone here been watching Shameless?

It’s in it’s 4th season now and I really think it’s one of the best shows on TV that nobody seems to be talking about.
I guess you could classify the show as a dramady because within each episode there are laugh out loud moments and some serious drama in the very next scene but if you’re curious it’s worth checking out.

I know it’s based on a British series of the same name that has been running or ran for quite a long time but other than season 1 I’m not sure how close this version follows it.

  11. Finally saw 2 Guns this past weekend. As a action movie it was good and the acting between Mark Walberg and Denzel Washington was cool.

  12. I have 4-5 episodes of Revolution on my DVR. I keep hoping it’ll get better. I’m looking for some advice from the SR community. Anyone out there a fan and can tell me honestly if it’s worth it?

    Thanks.
