  1. I’m playing the Avatar game on Xbox.

And to answer the other person, the game is set I think around 2 years before the movie. I’ve very happy about this. Games that follow the story of the movie are incredibly boring. I like a new story to flesh out the universe that doesn’t follow the movie to a tee.

  2. @Mike…

I just got the 2-disc Star Trek DVD, and I was intrigued by the Star Trek D-A-C game that’s on the second disc, but the bad news is that you can only play the demo game on Xbox 360. It won’t play on PC or PS3.

Is the Avatar videogame also available for PS3 as well, or is it an Xbox only game.

I hope to find the PS3 versions of Avatar and Star Trek D-A-C, and hope to have them and a PS3 under the Christmas tree. :)

  3. Garth, are you new to Deadwood? If so prepare to have your western mind blown!

Kick ass show, one of the best Western’s ever! “Not for kids”

  4. Are there still plans for a Deadwood movie? I thought I’d heard that HBO was willing to do a movie or two for the series since it had been such a well-received series.

  5. @M-Cat

Im playing Assassin’s Creed 2 on Xbox 360. I have stopped playing the main missions though, I realised how close i was to the end of the game, so decided to do every single side mission.

I do not want it to end ever.

It would make such a good movie.

  6. Whoever said Avatar was not in 3d was wrong… I was playing it at my buddies on one of those new 3d monitors (madd sick). It was pretty sweet, I just wish the actual game was better but we just ran around looking at the environment it was ultra trippy. It really made you feel like you were imersed in this world and thats what I hope the movie will succeed in capturing. But yea the gameplay is pretty dull and repetitive.. sorta a letdown I thought since ubisoft was publishing it that it would be half way decent. I guess my expectations were too high… Hopefully the movie fares a bit better :)

  7. 790

Yes i saw a part of an episode a couple years back but had the willpower to turn it off so one day I could watch the whole thing from start to finish

  8. Has anyone seen The Tournament yet? Is it worth buying?

  9. @john kahless

I’m not sure what you consider “buying material” but the tournament to me was awesome. Great action flick from start to finish ( not for kids). Only thing that i didn’t like much was kelly hu’s acting but after that everything else was good. Should have had a theater release IMO but lucky us we got “Jennifer’s Body and New Moon”.

  10. Heehee,,, Garth, enjoy the series, its a blast!!!

    (Deadwood)!

  11. Turn in your Oscar Al Gore, your a fraud!!!

  12. So i saw rented g.i. joe. HORRIBLE. maybe it was mostly the bad acting, but it just didn’t do it for me. I feel like the story was pretty weak though as well.
I enjoyed transformers 2 way more.

  13. The only thing I liked about GI: Joe was Levitt’s performance as The Doctor/Cobra Commander.

  14. I FINALLY saw last year’s The Day the Earth Stood Still. What a steaming pile of poop. Yes, the effects were pretty damn cool, but the movie just made NO SENSE!! The ending was completely ridiculous. I can’t believe they butchered such a classic story into that ridiculous piece of garbage. Thank goodness there is STILL the original to watch. Oh, and Will Smith’s kid can’t act a lick. I kept hoping he’d be crushed by Gort or something. LOL.

  15. well thankfully Hollywood has yet to redo Buckaroo Banzai, so ate least we got that going for us ;-)

  16. Bonzai was a kick ars film!!!
    ^
I think Cameron should have released Avatar this weekend!
Its dead out there this weekend,,,,

  17. @ Lord Garth, Formerly of Izar

    Outlaw Josey Wales
    High Plains Drifter

    Great films

Throw Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Silverado, Nevada Smith, & The Man WHo SHot Liberty Vallance in the mix and there are some good western flicks…

Appaloosa(2007) not the Appaloosa from 1966 with Marlon Brando…anyone see that..if it wasn’t for Viggo that movie would have been beyone redeemable..It had some moments but I thught was poorly executed by Harris

  18. Hey gang,
